The dining room is in a pleasant airy conservatory which we liked We found the food here very pleasant but not outstanding. I started with Mussels which were nicely cooked in a tasty sauce, my OH chose Prawn Cocktail which he thought could have had a touch more paprika but he enjoyed it overall. I chose Hake with fennel and... More

We love the three crowns! It serves beautiful food and the service is always attentive. You are even able to take your dogs into the front end of the pub which is a bonus. Beautiful setting out the back in the sunshine. The only let down is the lack of parking available, however, there is a pay car park just... More

Just visited the here crowns today on a trip to Dartmoor and we were really impressed. Lovely clean and well furnished venue and the staff couldn't do enough to help out, which, when the twins are being challenging is much appreciated. The food was good and we would certainly recommend the village (which is very pretty) and the three crowns... More

Me and 3 friends walked in on a Friday afternoon without a reservation, but was found a table. We had the fish + chips, and burgers. The food was good, but the chips were odd - almost white in colour, but obviously cooked. The texture was a bit strange too. The burger I had was nice, with good flavours. Service... More

We booked this hotel/restaurant last minute on the internet as we needed a stop off en route to Cornwall & what a little gem of a find it was. We arrived around 9:30pm not expecting too much after navigating through windy roads in the middle of Dartmoor in the dark to a very warm welcome & a lovely room. The... More

The building is a beautiful old coaching inn with a fabulous modern glass atrium and beautifully designed courtyard garden. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We chose Devon Cream teas - who wouldn't in the heart of Devon - however the scones were stodgy and served on a silly narrow wooden platter. It's not all about presentation. China plates are... Lovely lunch in the sunny courtyard in this great pub. I loved the new glass extension at the back. I had moules et frites, which was delicious and went with the sunny weather! My husband enjoyed his usual fish and chips. Great service, we will return!

It's been an age since last in Chagford drove out over Dartmoor to this establishment for lunch. It's an impressive building from the outside, the older part is very dark but the atrium in the middle is a light and airy space. The lunch menu is varied to suit most people's palate we both enjoyed the fish chips & mushy... More

We called in here for morning tea one cold rainy morning and it was just what we needed , great coffee, fire going , lovely cakes and delightful staff. We enjoyed the place, history and decor so much we returned later in the day for lunch. Lunch was very good, especially the Devon fish cakes, and not forgetting the prawns... More
