Recently stayed for two nights, we were in a dog friendly room and we're made to feel really welcome. All staff were friendly and helpful from bar service to breakfast. They had just put up their Christmas decorations and the place felt cosy and relaxing. Dinner and breakfast very good with a good selection on offer. We will be returning.

The specials menu is just that - special. The menu changes each night, but everything we ate was cooked perfectly and presented beautifully. The baked lamb rump with celeriac and beets was memorable and the chocolate parfait was to die for!

We were a little disappointed by the range of dishes on the menu, certainly there wasn't anything 'special' for our birthday celebration. Two members of our group ended up having fish and chips! Coupled with this the service was extremely slow! A disappointing evening! We won't be rushing back!!!

This was our 4th stay at this cosy hotel, but our first time staying under the new management. It still has the lovely feel that was always there but this visit was just that little bit better. The staff have changed as far as we could see (except for one of the waitresses) and they were all wonderful, always happy... More

The best cream tea I can remember. Pleasant staff in nice surroundings. Next time I will stay the night and have dinner.

Had a two night stay with my wife and some friends joined us for just the one night. Staff really friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, so good we ate in the hotel both nights. Price was not cheap but pretty average for good quality food. Nice breakfast too. We were in room 15 over the bar and looking... More

We chose the Three Crowns in Chagford as the venue for my husband's fiftieth birthday party two weekends ago as it is not too far from home and we could stay there along with all the relatives travelling down from Shropshire and Bath. We were not disappointed. We were warmly welcomed and checked into our rooms on the Thursday afternoon... More

Visited The 3 Crowns with family recently- lovely looking establishment and great that it has its own parking. Sadly, we found the food and service rather disappointing and not up to the standard we had hoped. Roast was very average- meat was nice but roast potatoes weren't proper and vegetables were cold and barely cooked (also not enough gravy). Fish... More

We went for lunch here and all our party enjoyed the food. The pub is dog friendly in the bar area which was nice after we had been walking. There's a log fire which makes it cosy and relaxed atmosphere.
