We stumbled across this place during one of our work trips. It was lunch time so we popped in here for something to eat. My husband ordered the Abby Burger and I had a cheese omelette. It was all freshly cooked, using good quality ingredients and tasted delicious. We would have liked to linger here as it was very cosy... More

Just had 3 nights (Wednesday to Saturday ) at this Inn, which is right on the river Dart. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great and we ate in the restaurant every night. The food was gorgeous, the liver was beautifully cooked and the gravy was so tasty. My partner had the seafood spaghetti on our last... More

Like the setting over-looking the river Dart but whole place needs upgrading. Atmosphere, decor and food was like going back 40 years without the charm.

I have come here many times over the years, for a meal for 2, a drink after walking at the weekend, with family for meals or trips with the kids. Every time we are serviced with helpful happy staff and we love the meals, many feature meat and produce sourced locally and it tastes great! There are lovely views outside... More

This Inn is situated overlooking the River Dart, so set in beautiful countryside. Very peaceful so a lovely relaxing break. We stayed for 2 nights a party of 6,and all of us agreed how much we enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it and return for another visit. The rooms weren't huge, but nicely decorated, more than adequate, with all... More

I took my wife here for a lunch for her birthday, with our two children. We chose it for the location, lovely spot by the river and for a compromise between adult dining and something suitable for under 10 year olds and someone had recommended it. The lunch menu on the website seemed to fit the bill, the trouble was... More

Had the Sunday carvery here which was very good. The meat was very tender and lots of lovely vegetables to chose from.A good size car park, but quite a short steep walk into the pub.

The positives - lovely location by the river. The staff are friendly and helpful. They allow dogs in the bar. The negatives - very average food. It was okay but nothing special. The menu is limited and the specials board had burgers and jacket potatoes which are on the menu anyway. The roaring fire, although nice, is too hot in... More

If you have difficulty walking, this may not be ideal for you. Steepish ramp with handrail down to pub. Along the River Dart and a beautiful setting. Pub atmosphere for dining. Food was just average. Fish and chips tasted and looked as if the chef ripped frozen bags and cooked them. Fish was tasteless with heavy batter. Chips weren't much... More
