Teatime ... and that means you *have* to go to Taylors. Stepping back in time ... and relax ... Enjoying all sorts of teas and cakes, of great taste ... And I mean *real* taste ....

We were just looking for a drink and a cake when we came across Taylors. The window display enticed us in with a range of gorgeous looking cakes under glass domes arranged on a table. Inside a variety of large round and small square tables were set with tablecloths, vintage china and crystal glass while the walls were lined with... More

The window is filled with delicious, homemade huge cakes to choose from! Each table has china tea cups, saucers and plates. Tea is served loose leaf in tea pots. It's all absolutely lovely! Afternoon tea scones are great too. Get a slice of the carrot cake and coffee cake-- you will not regret!

Have been visiting for nearly five years having discovered this gem in 20111. Owners have changed in that time but the traditions have not. As experts in coffee cake can thoroughly recommend the Ashburton version. Traditional surroundings, china crockery, excellent coffee - what more could you want?

Lovely old fashioned tea room, it's wonderful. The food is all homemade and gorgeous. There are a wide variety of teas to choose from. The staff are very efficient and polite. You will have a very pleasant experience here. They have a lovely courtyard when the sun is out to sit in. The cakes they bake are amazing too.

We took afternoon tea at Tailors twice during out stay in Ashburton. The service was very good. Prompt, polite and friendly. The interior is lovely. An old style tea room. The tea and coffee was excellent. There are several loose leaf teas to choose from and they will make recommendations as to which will be best with your choice of... More

Lovely tea room with good menu and very tempting cakes. Relaxing atmosphere with helpful staff. What we had was lovely. Pity about the outside loo, though.

Thank Dianne M

Located in the ancient stannary town of Ashburton on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park. Tea at Taylors offers a taste of old England when the formality of tea was all the rage. Set amongst period antiques and soft furnishings, we hope that you might love the decor and ambiance as much as the home baking.
