Family came down for the weekend, so we booked The Breakwater, you are always guaranteed a good meal. At the time of booking we order 3 whole lobsters for 3 of the party, I have never seen so much food on one plate. All the food was really tasty and the staff were great as usual.

Not for the first time have I been duped by the stunning views from the bistro. The food is tasteless, poor quality for premium prices. I will never eat anything from this place again. If you know anything about dinning and want a stunning view of Torbay. Walk past the breakwater bistro and head to sholes restaurant at Brixham Lido... More

Appearances can be deceptive. This little gold mine of a cafe is superb. Very friendly staff and really good food as well. Nothing too much trouble. Give it a try. From outside doesn't do it justice. 4* food and treatment

Just stopped off after a little walk around the beautiful harbour . The place quirky and well presented. Clean and well looked after. The staff have been very helpful and friendly and the food was outstanding! The prices are a little high but this is reflected in the quality and of course the fact that it's fresh local food and... Now to be fair to the bistro it is clearly stated on the menu that everything comes with chips and salad and we went there so i guess it is our fault for going. But when you pay such high prices for all items on the menu I think you have the right to expect a bit more creativity and... More

.... the chips were overdone and the salad was rather tasteless. One of us had fish pie (excellent) and the other had Dover sole. The sole was very good as well, pity about the chips, which had either been cooked for too long or the fat was too hot. It must be tricky to get good salad stuff in Devon... More

Visited in January 2017 and it's well located and around a 10-15 minute walk along the front from central Brixham. Food is decent and a good range. A little greasy but that may just be the choices we made and other tables fresh fish looked stunning (but this shouldn't detract from our food which was good). Service was good and... More

It was quite some time since we had eaten here and were surprised how much the place and the food had changed for the better. We had an excellent relaxing lunch served by very friendly staff. My wife decided that the scallops she had were the best she had ever had while my fish and chips were as good as... More
