We found this lovely restaurant for lunch. We shared the fish cakes as a starter and they were superb. My hubby had the daily special, lobster linguine and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the scallops with sautéed veggies - the scallops melted in my mouth and the veggies were delicious. A true find. At the end of our meal,... More

Every time I've been, both the food and service has been top notch. The early bird menu is incredibly good value (£12? for 3 courses) and although the a la carte menu is fairly pricey the quality is worth the price tag. Would recommend for a special meal.

Arrived on time and shown to table, staff very attentive and polite, supplied with drinks and a menu. Party of four three fdifferent starters all very well, presented and of a high quality. Table cleared and then some considerable wait for mains, quite why do not know as the premises were not full like on previous visits. However mains arrived and... More

We were in Guernsey for the weekend to celebrate my partner's birthday and decided to try the Old Quarter. Having called in at lunchtime on Saturday to book a table for 7.30 we were told the best they could offer was 8.30 but they took my number in case of cancellations. 2 hours later they called to tell us 7.30... A wonderful meal all round. I had beef fillet and my wife had freshly caught brill. My starter, seafood broth, was perfect. Good wine list. Pleasant ambience. A little way from the hustle of the main town but worth tracking down.

The Old Quarter Restaurant is situated just outside the main town of St Peter Port. It's easy enough to walk straight passed it without noticing... "And you don't want to do that!" If you are a visitor to Guernsey make sure you pay a visit to "The Old Quarter". A historic part of town. 10 minutes walk from the town... More

There's a reason this restaurant is rated number 1 in Guernsey—fantastic food, a chef who cares about food and guests, and a lovely space in the old part of town. The bargain early meals are just a courtesy detail. We had soup, potato wedges, cottage pie, stuffed chicken, and sticky toffee pudding—each course was better than the next. We had... More

We only had one meal but the food and service were excellent. Unfortunately it is in the south of the town in a road where just about everything else is closed down. Well worth a visit

The food and service at The Old Quarter is consistently good. The owner / chef, Padraig, is rightly proud of his establishment and takes time to make everyone welcome. The restaurant is long and narrow so can be a little crowded and loud - as with all busy establishments serving Christmas meals. Accessibility is via a traffic-free cobbled street, and... More

We were recommended to try this restaurant by a taxi driver and we weren't disappointed. The menu was superb catering for all tastes. Paddy the chef and owner came out to check if everything was alright and we couldn't praise him enough. We had a cheeseboard for dessert and decided to share it, believe me one each would have been... More

Description
A warm Guernsey welcome awaits you at the Old Quarter Restaurant from Paddy, Dana and the staff. This is honest, no nonsense food with a slight Irish slant as you would only expect from Paddy's home roots. The Restaurant prides itself on using as much locally sourced ingredients as possible; fresh from the land and the sea the taste of Guernsey comes out in every dish. Paddy and the team are keen to show off the best of what Guernsey has on offer each season and the menu changes to reflect this. Our cosy restaurant caters for parties up to fifty people, so whether its a business meeting over lunch or an intimate dinner for two we will always do everything to meet your expectations. We are also very flexible with our menus and happy to adapt to your needs where possible. You will find us at the centre of the Old Quarter among a mixture of antique dealers, art gallery's, craft shops, fashion boutiques and unique privately run shops of all types and descriptions. With its narrow cobbled streets it really is like going back in time to what most of the town of St Peter Port once looked like, but with a modern twist of quaint little shops. Any stroll around town is not complete without a trip up Mill and Mansell Street, why not cap it off with a light lunch or and early evening meal.
