Went to The Curry Room at the OGH with my bro. Excellent curries and lovely wines to go with curry. The waiter knew the dishes and the wines that went wth them. All round very good

We visited The Curry Room for a friends birthday and were unsure what to expect. The intimate ambience of the restaurant is a real bonus, much quieter than other restaurants in St Peter Port which means you can actually have a decent conversation without shouting. The menu although not extensive would cater for most in my opinion. Spicy Prawn &... More

Sadly the lamb was not available so it was just chicken, prawn or veg for the main. Small menu although what we had was very good. Service good although we had to ask for wine to be topped up on a couple of occasions. Staff pleasant and knowledgeable about the food. A very different Indian experience in decadent surroundings. Good... More

The restaurant certainly felt special. With only a few tables immaculately set up it had an exclusive feel. The meal was tasty with well presented dishes. The service was quite slow but pleasant.

Firstly the service was good and the waiter excellent, this review no reflection on him. Food was shocking, terrible in fact.We have eaten Indian food all over the world, I am afraid this was amongst the worst. Dhal soup tasteless, chicken cashew curry tasteless and fatty, fish curry plenty of spices, but not blended well. Dessert was fine and lobster... More

Curries based on South African chef's adaption of traditional Indian curries in a sumptuous environment. A small restaurant with just 5 or 6 tables. Expensive but excellent for a special evening.

I love indian food so decided to book the Curry Room at Old Government House where I was staying. I had the curried crab as a starter and the lamb curry (medium hot) for second course and it was one of the best I have eaten - as good as the Cinnamon Club in Victoria, London. Superb cooking.

Interesting menu and not like any normal UK Indian restaurant. Great use of local seafood like crab and lobster - giving a great twist to traditional Indian dishes

Me and my partner went to the Curry Room at the OGH in Guernsey for a romantic dinner - nice ambience and good location. The problem was we were the only diners there and even then the service sucked. The menu was fixed and limited and could be better for the price it was charged. We had to wait between... More
