A hidden gem underneath the arches!

On spec we decided to go to La Piazza to celebrate two Gemini birthdays along with Mr JLR Privee. We started off with the statutory aperitifs of ice cold Peronis & a Campari with soda. For starters we had their smoked salmon & crab parcels followed by fresh brill a humongous portion with fresh spinach, zucchini, & new potatoes. My lunch time friend chose the lobster salad along with new potatoes too. Our desserts were fresh strawberries/ fruit salad & cheese. All washed down with Veuve Cliquot, Bollinger, & vintage port. The amount of champagne consumed will remain a secret! Needless , to say the food was an exceedingly “ excellent choice “ as only Toni & Marceo will say. Well done to La Piazza & to the very attentive staff & Chef Arturo. We will return very soon indeed!

Superb Lunch

We reserved a table for lunch and ate outside. There is a large heater for cooler days and also a canopy. As always we received a very warm welcome and were offered drinks while we perused the menu. 2 of us had the set menu which had numerous choices for each course. The other person chose fresh lobster salad. The service was perfect throughout and the staff are so friendly. Nothing too much trouble and free WiFi. The food and presentation was excellent too. We’ll be back.

I hadn't been to this restaurant for over twenty years, as part of the annual Tennerfest food festival the venue has a special set price menu that appealed to me so I rectified that long absence. The food quality/taste/presentatio was great & the service speedy. My only criticism is that there are too many tables & you feel as if you are sitting on a table with strangers such is the close proximity. However this won't put me off visiting again.

Worst Italian ever

Booked a table on reviews, this restaurant needs to work out what it is , French , Hungarian or what the menu is terrible. We booked a table and was given a table in what resembled a broom cupboard I ordered Calamari, was like elastic bands in a bad batter , my husband asked for lasagne wasn't asked if he wanted parmasan cheese , he asked for a glass of house red I wasn't even asked if I wanted a drink , main course was bland and uninspiring, my penne pasta was on a flat plate swimming in liquid , my husbands fish dish was tasteless , the waiter asked if I wanted some of my husbands sauté potatoes and cauliflower really with pasta !! The waitress then came over a proceded to clear the table while my husband was still eating taking his food. On paying the bill we complained to the manager whose reply was next time don't ask for table 11 really!! This is a restaurant stuck in a time warp whose staff and chef need training . Avoid at all costs

Fantastic Place

I used to live in Guernsey with my fiancee and we really loved this place.We really can call this restaurant “our place”.The owner and the manager are very welcome people and they are treating you with love.All the time they tried to do the best for us regards everything,from the favorite table to the favorite dish and to create the best atmosfere for us to feel well.I recomand this place to everyone who really want to feel relaxed and to serve very good food.Our favorite dishes are mussels and steak with diane sauce.(we really eated tones of mussels in our life everywhere we have been in the world but we still didn’t find a better receipt then yours) I wish you all the best and hopefully we will see you again. Thanks for everything !

Lovely Italian restaurant that more than lived up to our expectations.

We had not booked but were still welcomed by the patron and found a table inside. The food was excellent, sardines grilled to perfection, lemon sole cooked just right. We could not fault the place. Great food, great atmosphere, great value. What more could one want.

90s food with great atmosphere

The menu is straight out of the 90s which is great for some nostalgic dining but might not be everyone’s cup of tea. The courtyard area is cute with nice atmosphere and service is prompt and friendly. Would definitely go again.

Had a table booked early in the evening. Good atmosphere in the restaurant All staff very attentive Good classic Italian menu plus good choice of other options. Have regularly eaten out in Guernsey but this is the restaurant we will always return to.

Simply the best

La Piazza is without a doubt the best value restaurant in Guernsey. The service is excellent and the quality of food never disappoints. I must have eaten here over a hundred times and I've never had anything but an overwhelmingly positive experience.

Good food, spoiled by smoking

The food is good and the staff are exceptionally welcoming and friendly. They appear genuinely pleased to see their visitors. There is a courtyard area for dining and the staff allow diners to smoke there. Even at their tables. Sadly this area is fully covered and enclosed so anyone smoking there will ruin dinner for all the other tables.

From booking a table to leaving the restaurant the staff were exceptionally attentive, friendly and welcoming. The food was superb with an extensive menu to suit everyone. Very good value for money. Nice little touches like complimentary limoncello given to us all. We ate in a court yard which was really nice. Traditional Italian restaurant with silver service. I would thoroughly recommend La Piazza and I will definitely be returning .

Great Tennerfest. £20 for three courses plus coffee and chocolates and mints

We went last night. There were nine of us and they were very busy, including people sat in the courtyard under heaters and tables in the bar area. Despite being so busy the service was faultless and the food very good. We only had to wait a couple of minutes if we asked for a drink far quicker than most places. Nothing was too much trouble. They have a great choice on the menu. Highly recommend.

What a fabulous venue. Situated in St. Peter’s port . Wonderful food. Menu limited but what a selection ! Amazing specials & with a varied & great wine list. The best thing… the staff are knowledgeable, very accommodating & attentive… would definitely recommend

Innovative & interesting menu, with a few seldom encountered items such as frogs legs & snails for the adventurous. Family visit with wide spread of choices between us. All 3 courses were excellent. The best meal I can remember. The 3 course set meal choice was well worth the money.

How dining should be done!

We are regular visitors to the island and it must be said that when we found La Piazza we couldn't believe our luck! The food is just brilliant and has become my daughters favourite restaurant despite the lack of usual children offerings! This reflects on just how good the food is. The service is exemplary and we have been treated like regulars from our first visit onwards. Our thanks to Marcio and his team and we look forward to regularly returning each time we visit Guernsey.
