You can't fault the service - as attentive as it could be. And great to watch the team offer quality care to all the customers. Its a place to chill, watch, and enjoy!

I visited this restaurant two years ago and felt the food is not as good as the Michelin Star. This time, with a new chef, the food was superb. It was creative and flavoursome. It specialises on tasting menu - Prestige, fish, vegetarian and a smaller (stills lots of courses) taster menu. I went for the taster menu and it... More

Just had dinner at the Bohemia bar within the Club hotel jersey. Food was ok, waiter was unbelievably arrogant' do apparently on a "night off" Sunday night, 5 people in restaurant being 3 tables to serve. 2 staff on so no reason for anything other than attentive service. Arguably typical of under busy staff, the opposite was true. Terrible service.... More

The food is out of this world ! We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing. The flavours and textures were unforgettable. A treat for the eyes and the tasting buds ! Beautifully crafted food was a work of art - almost a shame to eat it but the flavours ...

Tasting menu was excellent flavours superb and wine combination interesting but not fabulous could do with more detail on the wine (heavy accent on wine waiter made information hard to hear could have been printed) portions were adequate and we left well fed - food is rich but well balanced no complaint of the food apart from leaving pigeon feet... I visit Jersey every year and I used to love eating at the Bohemia. This year's visit was a dissapointment. The food is not what it used to be. The only thing we enjoyed was the foie gras (starter) and the cocktails. The prices are very expensive for what you get. Next time i'll go to Longeville Manor.

Gorgeous Bar and Restaurant. Hidden away in Jersey's St Helier. Had afternoon tea for two with Prosecco. We were so stuffed we took the scones back with us, we just couldn't manage it. Highly recommend.

The star chef was on holiday during our visit but I don't believe it made any difference.. It's an uptown hip kind of place wood and glass and low lights. We had their classic dinner.. my lamb consisted of two mouthfuls surrounded by swirls, foam and something unidentifiable. My wife had turbot and sea bass similarly presented. In between we had... More

Last day of a break decided to treat ourselves for dinner, decided upon a surprise tasting menu of six different courses. Can well understand why this restaurant is a Michlin star the food was amazing!! not cheap but you wouldn't expect it to be cheap but the quality and variety of food served was fantastic. Each course was served with... More

Description
Steve Smith at Bohemia receives rave review from one of the world’s top food critics July 2013Steve Smith and his team at Bohemia are over the moon as the Michelin-starred restaurant has been scored 16/20 by food critic Andy Hayler on his acclaimed food review website andyhayler com Bohemia is one of only 20 restaurants in the UK in the last year to be awarded such a high score beating several 2 Michelin star restaurants like Joel Rubicon and Michael Wignall at the Latymer.Andy Hayler is one of the world’s most respected food critics and the only man to have eaten in all three Michelin star restaurants across the globe in just one year.Interestingly Hayler is also one of only a handful of critics who never accepts a free meal, always covering the cost of his meal, he ensures that his reports are fully subjective. When at Bohemia Andy Hayler opted for Steve Smith’s pescatarian tasting menu, though he swapped one course in order to try some meat as well. His review describes each dish in detail commenting, “Lobster with pea purée was served with pistachios and smoked butter foam. This was a very good dish, the local lobster tender and the pistachios adding a useful texture contrast.” And; “I had chicken with girolles, pea purée, sugar snap peas, mushroom purée and a Madeira sauce. The chicken, unlike so many served on restaurant tables in Britain, had good flavour, the sauce lifted the dish and the pea purée was also good; seasoning was very accurate, as it was throughout this meal.”He summarises the experience by saying, “This was an excellent meal.”Commenting on the review Bohemia Head Chef Steve Smith said, “I am absolutely thrilled that Bohemia has been rated so highly by such an acclaimed food critic as Andy Hayler. It is pleasing to know that our ethos of looking after our guests, offering quality and value for money; and on a technical level focusing on precision, balance and depth of flavour is recognized as the key to an outstanding dining experience.”In recent years Jersey has struggled to gain the attention and recognition afforded to other destinations by leading food critics. However it seems that the tide has now turned and not only are critics visiting the Island but its superior establishments are making an indelible mark as demonstrated by this latest achievement for Bohemia.Lawrence Huggler owner of Bohemia added, “To see the fantastic feedback Steve Smith and Bohemia has had from both locals and visitors to Jersey has been amazing and to then get a review from not just a world leading food critic but one whose reviews I personally respect so much is particularly special. Steve’s team in the kitchen and Dimitri’s front of house team have really raised the bar in Jersey and it is great to positive recognition of this.”
