We ate dinner here twice. Some plates (fish, seafood, chicken) excellent. Desserts and wine list good. A lot of people seem to order the espetadas (meat/seafood grilled on a long skewer). This dish did not disappoint, and whilst expensive there is a lot on the skewer! It does get hot near the windows, and I'd agree with some comments that... More

We booked a table at La Phare to celebrate a family birthday. We were allocated a window table with a stunning view over Corbiere lighthouse. Unfortunately it was a cloudy evening so there was no sunset to enjoy. We were slightly surprised how quiet the restaurant was for a Friday evening in June which is not necessarily a good sign.... This restaurant is situated on the cliff with the best views of Corbiere Lighthouse. We stopped for lunch, and sat outside as it was a glorious day. The food was freshly made, with a choice of hot and cold snacks and main meals.

My partner and I decided to have a snack lunch and drink outside in view of the Lighthouse. Unfortunately the place is not very welcoming then we were advised that our sandwich, chips and side salad would take half an hour as the restaurant was busy. This was a bit debatable as not many tables were taken. Unfortunately our lunch... More

An evening meal with a group of friends on a Saturday evening. Yes, great views but too hot to sit near windows in evening sunshine. Only three tables with customers. Very quiet and yet the table next to us were complaining that they had been waiting an hour for their food since ordering! I sensed the staff had low esteem.... More

The entrance is via a strange corridor with a random selection of chairs then through another door to the dark bar area. It doesn't look inviting at first but then the room opens up and the restaurant is brighter with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the lighthouse. The food was mixed quality. My husband enjoyed sea bass on a generous... More

This was our second visit over 2 years and it was a wonderful setting. Unfortunately for us this visit recently wasn't as good as the first. The food was good but so very slow which made the whole meal experience a very long one and with 2 children of just 4 long for them. However, the staff were good and... More

We came here as a family and wanted to sit and enjoy the view outside with a drink before we where seated at a table, when we where sat at our table we where then able to hear the owner shout at his staff to come and take our order, the way he spoke to his staff infront of customers... More
