We struggled to find a restaurant on a Sunday evening, but managed to book here. The staff were very polite and attentive especially Paul. They were short staffed but this wasn’t obvious. The food was good quality and came quickly.
Visited this place twice during our week stay. Had a great meal on both occasion however, service very slow which we were told was due to lack of staff. We were in no rush so didn’t mind and food was worth the wait.
We loved The Tenby Paul and his wife are excellent hosts and the staff are working very hard. The food was excellent, huge portions and well worth the money. Especially the massive pie. We hope to return to Jersey and will definitely be paying a...visit to The TenbyMore
We love visiting The Tenby. We always eat there when staying in St Aubins. The food is always hot and freshly cooked. We received a warm welcome from Paul when we arrived. We had the Vegan Board to start and the Creamy Spicy Lentil Curry....The food had such amazing flavours and would choose those options again. We enjoyed our visit so much, we are going back again on Sunday.More

Visited for lunch when it was pouring with rain.
The place was very busy as there were no outside tables suitable anywhere in the town.
The Manager, Paul went out of his way to please us and everyone else. He explained that they were short...staffed and had staff self isolating. This coupled with the rain had meant that there would be a long wait for food. Although under pressure, he was polite, reasonable and honest about the predicament. Very impressed. As it turned out, the wait for food was not as bad as he anticipated and we had a lovely lunch. Many thanksMore
I had Sunday lunch here in July(2021) and received good food & service. Based on this experience I returned for a mid week Dinner in August as a solo guest.
I was placed near the kitchen hatch, despite better tables being available & having pre...requested a restaurant place.
I struggled to get attention to place orders, get additional drinks, get a dessert menu etc as I was totally ignored during my visit.
At no point was I asked about my food. I watched several groups of 4 or more being constantly asked if their food was OK, if they wanted anything else. For me, there was no such attention. Even when I got the waiter to take the dessert order he was walking off before I had stopped making my requests.
My main course was Sea Bass, this consisted of two large fillets. However, instead of being light and flaky in texture they were “mushy” and extremely salty.
I would much prefer one fillet but better prepared and cooked.
At over £44 for a two course meal & a couple of drinks, this was poor service, mediocre food at restaurant prices.
So, I have had both positive & negative experiences at The Tenby. Being a solo guest I felt I was definitely disadvantaged.More
Booked evening meal on the Saturday went back on the Sunday (On holiday) Despite staff shortages they provided excellent service. To the reviewer who complained about the cost of the wine it's a business not a supermarket.
