Peter, the proprietor of this hotel, is a friendly, hospitable host. The food is good and the portions generous and very well priced. Well worth a visit if you are travelling to Achill.

Went visiting friends on Achill Island and popped in to this hostelry for some refreshments and food. I must say it was very pleasant with friendly staff and finished off our day trip to this wonderful windswept island. The beaches by the way are stunning...More

We stopped off on a wet day to be greeted by a hot stove and a friendly welcome from the owner Peter. Soup and toasties hit the mark. Tea was replenished. Highly recommend it to all. Its good to be able to support local family...More

Fab place. Room was small but fine for us as it was a late booking of one night as we travelled around. Staff were great in the hotel and bar. Food was lovely. Would be happy to go back.

Really there are not so many choices in achill’s and I presume that it one is one of the best. Came here twice, during winter and now, in the summer. The food is really nice and service excellent. Good to stay and enjoy a pint...More

The Barman/owner was such a highlight, what a lovely welcoming man. Food was simple but super tasty, fresh and good for value. Perfect stop for a bite and interesting local conversation. Champ the springer spaniel was another delightful highlight!
