On a recent day trip to Wicklow from Dublin, our tour group stopped for a late lunch at Fitzgerald’s in Avoca. Even if we hadn’t been touring and walking all day, I’d still proclaim this as the best pub food I’ve had anywhere. Our guide...More

Called in today for lunch. Ordered the beef which I enjoyed. I was watching Ballykissangle re run’s while having my lunch, brought back great memories. A smile and a bit of banter would have been nice, or even a smile

Very basic - not very enjoyable food, even the cappuccino’s aren’t any good unfortunately. Came out of A machine and half cold.

I visited Avoca Valley in 2010 while researching my Irish ancestry. I ate at Fitzgerald's and learned about the TV show Ballykissangel. I went home and binge watched the series. I've taken friends and family there several times since then to dine at Fitzgerald's and...More

When I was there last September there were no obvious signs that this is a hotel or B&B. I think that Fitzgeralds only performed this function in the TV series " Ballykissangel".
