I recently called in for some lunch, I went for the club sambo , an old reliable can't really mess it up I thought,do I ordered it, and when it came to my great disappointment it was nothing like I expected. For starters the thing looked like it was thrown together, a big massive half inch slice of tomato hanging... More

It had been a while since I was last in the Johnstown Inn so I was surprised to read some of the recent average/negative reviews for the restaurant. I actually found it to be as good as ever. The burger in particular was excellent - plain but extremely tasty. The chips too were fresh and delicious. A couple of days... More

Menu seems to have a low selection of meals. Gloomy interior and disinterested hosts. No trouble finding parking

Don't waste your money, dreadful food , rude management , no parking , over priced , menu descriptions are no where near what is served to you. Nice waitresses though, feel sorry for them working in such a horrible place

It's reasonable to assume when you eat out that your food shall be cooked in an oven. Not according to our waitress who had to reheat one of our parties lasagna in the microwave.Where has the passion gone?

The dining room was low on atmosphere, the staff were robotic and the food was poor. Starters were not too bad but I am sure the prawns were from a frozen pack. The meat was well overcooked in the main course and the chips were from a frozen packet. The desserts were poor. I will not be back.

The food and service here is great. The menu has all the usual wholesome favourites and the service is very friendly. The bar provides limited parking but their is also on street parking outside. Its convienently located just off the N7 at the Kill / Johnson or Naas North exit.

I ordered the kale, potato and coconut curry as it sounded lovely. Came out and tasted it, it was like chip shop curry sauce poured over potatoes and kale. Don't know where the coconut came into it unless it was the shavings on top? It was really horrible, chip shop curry sauce is not real curry! The people I was... More
