Dropped in coming home from the RDS Horseshow Ordered the ribeye steak, medium rare, charcoal grilled. It was served surprisingly fast so I expected a nice juicy steak. What I got was more akin to a dry rasher. The steak was pink in the middle, tasted fine but dehydrated so much there was' nt a drop of juice left in it.... More

My daughter and her boyfriend booked a table for four people to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we received first class service the minute we walked in. The food was fantastic and great value for money. I would highly recommend a visit to the Johnstown Inn if you are passing, you will not be dissapointed. The only down side was... More

Dropped in here for a quick dinner after 5hrs on the hills at about 6pm on a Monday. My wife uses this establishment to meet her siblings from the country every 3 or 4 months and it’s usually for breakfast or lunch. They love the place. The pub has many small alcoves with comfortable seating. The water and menus were... More

This weekend was out third visit in recent months to The Johnstown Inn. We had another very good experience where the staff were helpful and the food was very good. It can be busy at times but we have managed to get a table any time we called in. We will be calling back again.

We recently went here for a family meal. There was 10 of us and there was no problems with service. The staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and efficient. 5 of us got the steak and it was perfectly cooked with very generous portion sizes! Couldn't recommend this place highly enough!!

Food is just OK but nice environment and good staff. More needs to be done on creating an atmosphere which is appropriate to the small village such as Johnstown.
