We enjoyed a lunch which catered for all ages and dietary requirements of our group. Food was lovely and staff were helpful and friendly.

Great breakfast here and plenty of newspapers to read. Very olde world charm and its the kind of place you can hear the clock ticking in the backround. Not sure about lunch or dinner but i would think its a good destination.

Stopped here for some food on the way home and was pleasantly surprised, both me and my girlfriend were very happy with the food but it was our server, Stephen, who made the night, he was attentive and full of banter, would definitely return again

Have eaten here on many occasions with family. Staff are friendly but sometimes when busy can be overwhelmed. Food is very good. A member of our family is coeliac & gluten free menu is limited which is a pity (gluten free gravy would very a welcome addition). Kids menu very good.

We went foe a meal and there was 11 of us. We all had 3 course meals and it was delicious. Staff were very friendly, one of the staff called Steven took care of us and we enjoyed our time at the Johnstown inn.

Have been going here a long time, I really like the food, the service could be more attentive but the staff are friendly and pleasant. Breakfast is really good, lunch menu could be more varied and have a few more options as it hasn't changed in years. I go regularly and love their Ceasar Salad.

On arrival I was greeted with neither a "hello" or "how are you". The only words that came out of our servers mouth were "yea?" Sunday lunch was not warm enough and came too quickly to be made fresh

I recently called in for some lunch, I went for the club sambo , an old reliable can't really mess it up I thought,do I ordered it, and when it came to my great disappointment it was nothing like I expected. For starters the thing looked like it was thrown together, a big massive half inch slice of tomato hanging... More

It had been a while since I was last in the Johnstown Inn so I was surprised to read some of the recent average/negative reviews for the restaurant. I actually found it to be as good as ever. The burger in particular was excellent - plain but extremely tasty. The chips too were fresh and delicious. A couple of days... More
