As per the title of this review - they serve best mussels ever. Seriously, it was one culinary orgy, mussels served with fresh bread, then delicious fish and a local Ale to finish it all off in style. Great food, don't miss it.

Good seafood, and helpful wait staff. French influence in the menu. If you cannot climb stairs, ask for a downstairs table.

We had already visited Paris and did not find the desired crepe experience we had thought we would. But visited Dingle and found heavenly crepes at The Skipper. The whole presentation and ambiance was fabulous, we loved it!

We happened upon The Skipper after a long day on the road and took a chance after reading other reviews. We were pleasantly surprised at the high quality French cuisine meals, freshness of salads and overall value for 14 Euro for a 2 course meal....More

We were staying in a nearby B&B and this was the nearest restaurant. We were made very welcome with a nice table. The food is mainly fish which is fresh and good. Prices on the expensive side.

The chef Paddy and his staff in the Skipper are excellent for both food and service. Our recent visit was lovely so sad to hear it may be closing. It is one of the highlights whenever we go to Ventry

Quaint little place with small menu and nice wine list. I ventured out to try something new, ray and capers. Not my favorite. Salad not to my liking either. Potatoes were good but so hot i got a blister in my mouth. On the other...More

No, it has already closed for the season. Nowhere is open Christmas day as it is illegal to sell alcohol. Your only hope is to stay in a hotel doing meals that weekend.
