Have visited here on a number of occasions in the past and have usually been thoroughly impressed. On this occasion whilst the food was just as tasty the service was much slower than usual There seemed to be far fewer staff. I had to return my Malbec as it was quite unlike the smooth taste I am used to in... More

Just popped in for a quick bite of lunch. Had the chowder which was just super. Chunks of fresh fish in a fab creamy broth served with 2 small triangles of gorgeous brown bread. At €8, not cheap but the quality made the price worthwhile. Maybe another 2 triangles of bread might have been nice, especially for a hungry man.... More

It's a pity because the previous owner really knew how to run an efficient café and the focus was not only put on quality of food, but quality of service. We used to visit this place weekly but now have only been there twice in the past year! we are hesitant to go back Why? The service is slow, the... More

Very nice layout and you have a choice to eat either inside or out ( and if you have a dog they even had a bowl of water outside for them). They have a good selection on their menu (and I was impressed that they had flat whites as a coffee choice, and it was good). We were all very... More

We regularly stop in Builin to have soup and tea. Their soup and bread are homemade and really hit the spot.

Small cafe with great vibes. The furniture on the wooden floor were beautiful wooden chairs at solid wood tables. On each table were wooden small crates with a bottle of water with lemon and mind leave. The range of foos choices was terrific for such a small place. There was all day breakfast. Salads fish as well as a large... More

Located in the coastal Spiddal area, this modern styled cafe/restaurant is located at the back of a series of small single story businesses selling hand crafted goods and art. Some of the good are available inside the restaurant as well. The menu is simple enough, but that doesn't matter when you're good at what you do. I chose the Seafood... More

We were frequent visitors to an Builin Blasta whenever we visited Galway from Dublin. Since it has changed management the cafe is not the same. The wooden boxes on the table look like tool boxes and take up too much space. The food is not as good as it was with the previous management and doesn't really cater for small... More

I've been here three times now in the last year and I'll keep coming back. Lovely coffee, great bread and tasty salads, my fellow diners recommended the chowder too.
