We stopped off yesterday en route to Dublin for some lunch and were very pleased we did. Good, simple home cooking with a lovely selection of delicious salads, toasties etc and all for a reasonable price. Recommended.

We motored from North of Dublin to Kinsale along the M50 - M7 -M8 towards Cork deviating briefly to take in the breathtaking Rock Of Cashel and a quick bite to eat. Resisting the temptation of roadside punnets of strawberries, we came across The Bake Shop in Cashel, feasting on Quiche and salad that was plentiful and delicious. Coffee was... More

Food was good, atmosphere was great, only downside is it mostly upstairs not good for prams or wheelchair, although there is seating outside ok in sun not good in the normal Irish weather. My cake was nice, moist and tasty my children loved it 😀

Great home made food, hidden upstairs it seems unlikely but a treat is in store above the high street. A bit shabby but the food is excellent. Family business evocative of the 1950s in a nice way!

Always excellent for lunch or a light bite. Just had a very good lunch of quiche & scrumptous salads. Service is good even if it can be crowded at times as it is very popular. Good value IMO.

This was a nice way to spend a rainy afternoon after our hike to see the Rock of Cashel. The atmosphere was quaint. By the time we got there (around 4:00 p.m.) it was pretty slim pickings regarding the baked goods, so, I cannot really comment on the variety or quality. However, there were a few scones and other pastries... More

Long story short, we were really needing a new place to stay for the night, and Ashley went so above and beyond to help us out, despite closing the shop at the same time. She helped us sort out our stay and after a really bad experience with Cashel Town Bed and Breakfast which is truly a hostel not a... More

The range, quality and prices in the retail side of this business are acceptable. The same cannot be said about the "eat in" side of the business where the prices are above average for standard servings, or less and where the total bill somehow inexplicably rises/ is rounded up based on the fact that the owner reckons you are not... I have been to the bake house for breakfast and the food was divine . The one thing I would say about it is that is very small it it is not suitable for a large crowd but it is still gorgeous . Downstairs you can buy cakes, cupcakes, bread and things like that. Upstairs is where u can eat , there... More
