Had a stop in the Carna Bay Restaurant and tried the meal of the day: panfried cod with potato mash and carrots: simply perfect ! The fish was mouthwatering and very well prepared, the carrots and mash were just right. The staff was very friendly and mindful. We will definitely call again...

I've been coming to Carna for the last 8 years and have stayed at the Carna Bay Hotel each time. Warm and friendly welcome from all the staff and it feels such an integral part of the community. Sean-nos singing, dancing, great food and drink, and it is a lovely place to stay. Since my stay last year, the hotel... More

Came here on a Friday night with my mom and her cousins (we are all adults). It was a great meal and the service was top notch. It was also the night of the Ireland game which was on in the bar. The gentlemen got to cheer while the ladies enjoy a glass of wine. There are not many options... More

Very Smelly room. No life in hotel Needs a good update in all departments...breakfast was not good..rashers were like they were cooked the day previous! over cooked! For high season there's nothing happening in the village. Will not be visiting there again. Girl at reception was pleasant.

Stopped here on our tour of the wild atlantic highway in Connemara. Despite it's name it doesn't overlook the bay and looks pretty ordinary from the outside. We ordered the cream of country vegetable soup and a chicken panini between us. They team were really friendly and our order was delivers promptly. The soup was gorgeous, creamy and served with... Having read other reviews we, a party of 13, were not expecting anything special. We were in for a surprise..not only was the Carna Fish Chowder one of the best I've had in Ireland but the service was warm and friendly. Our server as it turns out competes in singing Irish songs and actually sang a beautiful Irish song for... More

The beef stroganoff was surprisingly good and well-presented. The atmosphere was nothing special. I was happy to find a decent meal out here on the Atlantic coast though.
