Easy to find and perking wasn't a problem. All perhaps due to the September dates. We had just flown in from Canada and driven over from Dublin so the friendly welcome and clean accommodation were welcome. We found we could cover Skerries on foot from...here. Breakfasts were very good with a good selection.More

Very comfortable room and the staff were so kind. I had had a terrible first night in Dublin. When I arrived at Redbank the staff checked me in immediately and permitted me to take a much needed rest in the afternoon. Lots of variety on...the Breakfast menu and 'Mama' was in the kitchen! Thank you to all.More

My internet date was from the City and loved Skerries. Our date night was meant to be perfect. Went to Redbank to make a reservation and owner came to door and said it was too early. Early bird on menu at entrance said from 1730...told...us to come back...went for drinks and came back..still too early. Food limited..drinks limited...waiting staff lacking...wouldn’t recommendMore

Terry is a delightful host and chef in the Red Bank Restaurant. The food is first class, the flavours are amazing and the early bird menu was excellent value. Try the chicken or beef stroganoff.

Located in Skerries, a beautiful seaside village located about 30 mins from Dublin. Accessibly by bus or train. The Redbank is an unique and hidden gem. The premise are a converted bank and there are lots of quirky aspects to enjoy. From the wine cellar...which is housed in the original bank vault, to the meandering lay out and enchanting outdoor courtyard. One evening I thoroughly enjoyed a meal chosen from the early bird menu. Food cooked by renown, world class chef and beautifully presented. The staff were delightful and best of all, despite being 4 star quality it is still extremely afforable given how expensive accommodation in Dublin has become. The breakfast served in the morning was exceptionally good.More

When I booked this night with dinner here at The Redbank, I had flagged it up with the lady who took the booking that it was my husband's 80th birthday. On arrival there was no mention of this, we were given a key to our...room which was passable & I reminded her again that this was a special occasion. The area to have an aperitif before dinner was like a sitting room in a nursing home, with chairs all around the wall. We gave our order and duly went to the table when called. My main course was prawns Napoleon which I had been told to have by a friend who goes there regularly. It arrived 23 prawns (heart attack on a plate) smothered in a tasty sauce but it just looked like a big brown puddle on the plate and no garnish at all. My husband's dish was disappointing too. There was no mention of desert as a birthday surprise, just nothing!! I was staggered. The next morning we had breakfast in the breakfast room looking out to the "garden" which resembled Steptoe's Yard!! Breakfast wasn't great either. I'd been led to believe that this was an excellent restaurant but we were both bitterly disappointed and I think it's had it's day!More

The reputation of The Red Bank in the glory days must be what keeps this restaurant going. It was a huge disappointment to see how tired and dated it is but if I have to be brutal it didn't feel clean either and that would...be the killer for me. We were the only diners for most of the time which made the dining room a little lacking in atmosphere. Terry was very attentive to us and made it a pleasant experience and there is no doubt that he can cook good food however food, however important, is only part of the overall experience. this needs a complete makeover in order to survive. Sorry but we won't be returning.More
