Delicious Food, Stunning Grounds :)

5 of us had lunch in the café here. We shared 3 of the tapas/bread & dips plates and the fresh, homemade food was divine. The grounds and buildings are stunning and the drive to Ballymaloe House is very scenic. I highly recommend this stop for lunch.

We attended a birthday party with three generations of guests who all stayed in the hotel. The food was seasonal and delicious , the service was excellent and the facilities were high standard and homely.

Ballymaloe House was one of the places you expect to go to and get served spectacular food that showcases the best of Irish local ingredients and great finesse and style in its presentation. Unfortunately for me, it did not meet my expectations at all. I felt that the menu was very poor. The only course that really interested me was... More

Expected more, hardly a great advert for it's cookery school. Wouldn't last long in london. The food is ordinary. Needs to be shaken up, nothing to make me return

A large group of family and friends raging in age from 20's to 50's spent New Years Eve here. The restaurant was decorated just beautifully and was really luxurious and welcoming. We had drinks on arrival, and the house whiskey sour was out of this world. Incredibly tasty! The menu for the restaurant was beautiful. The potato soup and the... More

Having first dined in Ballymaloe 25 years ago and revisited a number of times since, it's clear to me that the Allens have remained true to their origins and principles in all respects – including their food. We were well looked after and received really wholesome well cooked food, in exactly the same manner as when we first visited. Absolutely... More

This is not a great dining experience. This is an average dining experience that is ridiculously expensive for what you get. The dining room is formal country. The food is supposed to be from the "correct" suppliers and farmers. The black sole was dry and overlooked. The soup tasted like any soup you would get in a cafeteria line at... More

Ballymaloe produces the best food I have ever eaten. What more is there to say? Two perfect dinners made two perfect evenings. Just go and enjoy the food, the place, everything. Go as soon as you can and go more than once - this was our fourth visit and the next cannot come soon enough.

Great food. From the waiters to the chefs and everything in between, it was very well done. I will eat here anytime I am in the area.
