Hidden gem!

Tucked away in a small strip mall on o a busy highway away from town is the hidden hot dog gem named D and B Hot Dogs. I'll get straight to the point. D and B hotdogs are the best that I have eaten in Tennessee. I had three different kinds and they were all fantastic. The atmosphere is laid-back. You order at the counter and they bring your goodies out to you. If you don't stuff yourself, ice cream desserts were available. Super overall experience.

Perfect!

Always on the lookout for a hidden gem and this place is on our way home from work (wife and I work at the same place.) Stopped in after work to try out a burger and we were not disappointed. The place was clean when we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly employee who truly seemed happy to see us. The service was great, the food was out quickly, and it was delicious! We will absolutely be back.

The Top Dog in town.

The BEST hot dogs in town! From the quality dogs to the unique New England style buns; truly delicious. And the awesomeness doesn’t stop here. All of the specialty dogs are piled high with an array of toppings. My personal favorite is, the Reuben dog! I highly recommend this very unassuming place for your next visit.

Great food!!

Stopped here for lunch, and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had hot dogs and onion rings, and they were incredible. One of the best hot dogs I’ve ever eaten. Staff was friendly, food came out quickly, and it was reasonably priced. Will definitely eat here again.

Worth the side trip

This was well worth the side trip in our travels. We had read about it on a list of best hot dogs by state. The list was not wrong! They didn't skimp on the sauerktaut or the fries. Husband said the bakes beans were great! High praise from him. Owner was friendly and service was fast with hot food. I would highly recommend and will stop again. We will try more interesting choices on the menu on our next trip through Knoxville.

Amazing Lunch

After a few years passing we decided to have lunch here; My brother and I love this place and all it has to offer for Hot Dogs and those amazing buns! I have the D and B dog with Rattlesnake Fries and My brother had the Covered Wagon and the Chili Slaw Dog….And of course we had a couple of Elvis Pockets! What amazing lunch and atmosphere… I highly recommend and enjoyed all that was served, burgers are now offered and an perfectly made bread pudding! Great potato salad and coke slaw! A Knoxville staple and worth visiting….

NICKLE AND DIME YOUR ORDER

BEWARE: D&Bs hotdogs and icecream in Solway... We ordered burgers, fries, and three waters. Pretty simple right? The menu states: All burgers include your choice of toppings. The usual... So we asked for our lettuce, tomatoes, onion and pickles mayo and mustard on the side. No biggie right? Instead of it on the burger, put it on the side. Easy breezy. And then we asked for three cups of water and she gives us bottled water and charges us. I said I dont want bottled water I just want a cup for the soda machine and I drink the filter water. She said well that will be $1.00 then. I said why??? She said people are ordering waters and filling them up with cokes. I said not everyone in TN drinks soda and you cant assume everyone is like that. I asked again for three cups bc I want ice in my water and she gave us three cups. Walked to the table and something told me to get my receipt. Asked for it and she charged for waters AND .99 bc I asked for my hamburger toppings on the side. I said why is there a charge for our toppings?? She said bc you wanted them on the side. I said so what! Whether its on the burger or on the side still the same. She got hateful. I said ya know what, just give me a refund. See how quick something goes wrong when all she had to do was to do what's right? Dont nickle and dime people for your profit. Its wrong. And dont discriminate and assume everyone drinks cokes. I told the lady waiting in line to look at her order bc they are randomly upcharging for stuff... when we were leaving...she was walking back in with the same issues. Lost our business. So wrong.
