Food is so fresh and flavorful. Such a pleasant change from run of the mill flavors found in Fast Food Middle Eastern restaurants in Knoxville. Owners family is friendly and welcoming. Try the Sultans Platter!!!!
Love this little hidden gem, very authentic cuisine and the nicest family ever are the owners. Have never had anything that wasn’t amazing here! The Sultan is wonderful and gives you the chance to try everything.
We got an assortment plate that had the best baba ganoush we have ever had. Turns out the Turkish version is a salad versus other versions which are a dip. We split a meal for under $12.00. Everything was very fresh and flavorful. You can...also buy a limited selection of groceries and there is a moderate amount of seating if you do not want to do take-out. We will definitely go back for more.More
The Turkish Market has become one of my go to lunch places. The staff is always friendly and the food is excellent. I love the doner kebab plate which has a generous helping of meat, rice and a salad along with hummus and pita...all for...$10! You really can’t beat the price for a meal like this. If I’m not quite as hungry I’ll get the doner kebab wrap (basically a shawarma) for about $8. Highly recommend for a simple clean local lunch place with great food.More
Second of two unique restaurants in Knoxville we recently tried. This time we ordered our food to go only due to limited drink options (we don’t drink sodas). At the suggestion of another customer waiting for an order to go, we tried the Doner Platter....Everything on the platter was seasoned perfectly and I felt like it was a good deal for the price. Would definitely recommend this place and this platter.More
I have eaten here many times and I have never been disappointed. The food is very fresh, perfectly seasoned, and that is true for every item on the menu. You can also eat vegetarian here. It is casual dining. There is a small grocery area...if you need a few Turkish imports. The owners, both from Turkey, are friendly and fun.More
