We have dined at Downtown Grill & Brewery several times since moving to the Knoxville area. The food is extremely delicious and the service is always good. There was one time when we had to wait a little while for our food because they were very busy and the manager personally came over to apologize. He even comped a dessert... More

I have not been to the Downtown Grill & Brewery for a little over 2 years. What I remember from 2 years ago was that the food was quite good and the restaurant was always packed with people so waiting for a table was quite common. My girlfriend's niece and family were visiting and wanted us to meet them downtown... More

The atmosphere is sub par. The waitstaff is unhelpful and down right rude. The management was almost worse than the wait staff when we voiced our concerns about the service that we had received. This place should close down and open up the valuable space for something better. An Arby's run by ISIS would be much better than this hole.

If you are Downtown on a Tuesday from 6-10pm their beers are 1.50 per pint. The Alt has a strong after taste, the Blonde is real good, Nut Brown is a good beer, White Mule Ale is good with a little hop after taste, State Street is a real good beer, the IPA is a little smooth but hoppy, New... This restaurant / bar in the market square area has some quarter-operated pool tables upstairs (not in the greatest shape - so good for casual players, but will frustrate experts). They have a good beer selection which you can peruse online, and a decent selection of liquor for a place that primarily serves beer (but higher-end liquor is a bit... More

I have been to the restaurant several times.I have always gotten good service. The food is pretty good, but not great. I always find the menu too busy to decide on an item quickly and I'm usually there during my lunch hour.

We didn't get any food, however, we smelled & saw some amazing things go by us...We were there for just beer. Great price on beer flights, we tried all the house beer for $7.50. We also had awesome service!!! Thanks so much!

Stopped on my way into town for a late lunch. Sitting outside was nice, even in the summer. The Downtown Nut Brown I drank was very good. For $3.50, it's a great bargain. I also ordered a burger. It was a disappointment. Nothing about it was bad, it just wasn't very good.

We were pleasantly surprised with this location. Great burgers, beer, and bloody marys. What else is there in life?
