The bad: we had a party of 10 around 3 in the afternoon on a Sunday. They had several tables empty and wasn't very crowded. The hostess told us it would be a hour and a half wait. We finally decided to break into groups and go to the bar area which was nearly empty. Everything else about the visit... More

Today, I had the pleasure of visiting Calhouns in Turkey Creek. I arrived around 7:00pm on a Saturday and the wait was non existent! Once I was sat at my table, I was greeted promptly by Dalton. He was incredibly attentive, professional, and gentlemanly. The food came out at what felt like the blink of an eye and tasted phenomenal.... More

Stopped by do dinner on a recent business trip. I prefer the river location, but this spot was convenient to lodging. As usual, there was a big crowd - always is in Knoxville. We were seated promptly. Our server was very attentive and friendly. I tried to brisket on this trip along with slaw and spinach. It was good.

We stopped here after a long day of four wheeling. There were nine of us and service was lackluster at best. I ordered the salmon with Mac & Cheese. I also ordered the vegetable of the day which turned out to be corn on the cob. Well it was half grown! Please see the picture! This is my first time... More

I love calhouns food, its so good every time we're there. Ale steak is the best steak i ever had! However service could be better, our server seemed like it was more important to him to chat with other employee than take care of us...

Great service. Varied menu items offer plenty of selection. All of the ordered items were well prepared and tasty. Large portions. Brisket was excellent, as was the fried catfish and pork chop. Really enjoyed the fried green tomatoes and the potato skins appetizers. I hope to return to Calhoun's when in the Knoxville area again.

Love the feel of this place and the food! Pulled pork and the ale steak was amazing. Only reason it didn't get a five star from me was they need a little help to free up the wait times.

We have always loved Calhouns and still do. The food was ok. Rice was under cooked but the rest of meal was fine. Our waitress was not very attentive. It was about 5:15 on Thursday afternoon so the place wasn't full had to ask for refill of coffee. Must have been an off night and we all have them. I... More

I recently rented a room for my husbands 50 birthday party.. I was completely satisfied and will rent that room again.. It was perfect for the amount of people that we had and the food and service was excellent!!! I had about five different hors d'oeuvres and brought in my own birthday cake.. If you are looking for a room... More

We were not at all impressed by this restaurant. For the price we would have expected much better tasting food. The ribs were tough and dry with an odd flavor. The brisket was tender but fatty and unappealing. The appetizers were fine. Our waitress could stand to get a personality and leaned toward rude. The baked cinnamon apples were a... More
