The first place I tried out on a business trip to Knoxville. Went on Wednesday night, which was Brisket Night at Calhoun's. I thoroughly enjoyed it! Nice and juicy, with great flavor. The place seemed to bbq a favorite spot for locals and families. The bartender was friendly and knowledgeable. I'd visit again.

Our Sunday Dinner visit to Calhoun's was awesome. The staff was very nice and our waitress served is with an Irish touch of customer service. She made us feel at home during our visit and kept checking in to see if we needed anything. In the past few years, we have never ordered anything from the menu that we didn't... More

Just looking for a good steak dinner, dropped into Calhoun's. I was here several years ago, so I seated myself in the bar, not seeing anything really different. I will say the barmaid was curt, verging on rude w/o offering any pleasantries. Ordered a filet dinner and a beer. Complementary bread is included but she made no offer or request... More

Pellissippi Calhoun's is always dependable for a good meal. I honestly have never eaten anything other than ribs or pulled pork from the menu. Consistently delicious with good service. You can't go wrong stopping by for a bite.

Calhouns is always a good choice. Soup could've been a little warmer but everything tasty and great service. Love to sit by the fire in the cold weather.

My family had a not so pleasant experience. The ribs were very dry. The server forgot several times to our requests. This was not the norm for Calhouns food or service. Very disappointed tonight.

Have not been to this Calhoun's in awhile and took an out of town couple for dinner. Everyone loved their meals especially the half slab of ribs and the catfish. Made their visit to Knoxville perfect.

We always enjoy the burgers with good sides like creamed corn, baked potato, sweet potato fries, and more.

Nice, rustic barnwood atmosphere. We had the ribs with coleslaw and broccoli. Generous ribs portions at a reasonable price. Try the craft beers too. I will come back the next time I am in the area.

Description
The original Calhoun's two-level rustic barn structure (with signature silo) provides an atmosphere filled with relics of the picturesque farmlands of East Tennessee. It is convenient to all of West Knoxville, as well as Oak Ridge and Maryville, via the Pellissippi Parkway. In 1983, the first Calhoun's, a big barn-like structure, opened in West Knoxville as a tribute to the agricultural roots and great barbecue traditions of Eastern Tennessee. Within a year of its opening, the restaurant's signature hickory smoked baby-back ribs won the title of "Best Ribs in America" at the prestigious National Rib Cook-Off. It was clear a tradition of greatness had been born.
