It makes no difference how you judge this restaurants in Knoxville, the Bistro by the Tracks comes out on top---from the host, to the waiters, to the wine list, to the young Chief. Try the ultimate test for any chief---tell the waiter the number of people in your party and ask the chief to fix 4 or 5 dishes of... More

This is an impressive place, but the night we visited the carpet was dirty all around us. The appetizers were good--beef tartare and scallops were good but overpriced. I really liked my beet salad, but the wedge was covered in balsamic vinegar and wasn't what was expected. Wine selection is really good, but the servers and bar tenders were not... More

Recently celebrated my wife's birthday with two other couples here because she simply cannot get enough of their seared scallops into her busy life.

decided to have a "business" meeting at the Bistro knowing that it's spacious enough and probably not too noisy on a Monday evening in order to converse easily. It is a elegant, comfortable restaurant - I've enjoyed sitting in the main dining area as well as in the lounge where it's been fun to let drinks slide into a nice... More

Overall a very nice place for lunch, I assume dinner would be even better. Good food, menu not too extensive, but a nice mix of proteins and such. Service was pretty top notch, didn't need to ask for anything.....Looking forward to going back for dinner, I think they have an extensive wine menu as well!

The atmosphere, food, and service were wonderful for our celebration of daughter's 55+ birthday! Two of us had the salmon, the other two had a chicken entree; all salads were fresh; good, ample, and non-watery cocktails; lovely and unique desserts. Everything had a beautiful presentation; all portions were fairly small, but since we had a bit of everything, we were... More

I had heard all kinds of comments about this place and had to try it in its present location. Originally, it really was "by the tracks" in a location down the road. At that time, it was a former greasy spoon, still shabby on the exterior, that some genius transformed inside into a quaint little dining establishment complete with white... More

My wife's fav dish in Knoxville, seared scallops (with tomatoes, frisee, Georgia olive oil, black & white quinoa, oyster mushrooms, lemon, & radish), is served here so it was her choice when it came time to celebrate her birthday with friends. It really is a special dish. She also likes the beet & carrot salad (red, gold, white & candy... More

Always a great meal! The fillets are very nice, as are the salads, etc. The wine selection is very extensive. The waiters are always spot on...never ever have a complaint about them. Very upscale and chic! It's a great place to go, but not one you'd go to several times a month, it's too pricey!
