Excellent Food

Arrived around 3:30 so there were very few people there. My wife and I sat at a table next to the fireplace which was very comfortable. I ordered the Calhoun Trio which was excellent and quite a fit of food. It allowed me to try several different samples, but with so much, I still needed a to-go... read more

I think Calhoun's is my current favorite for a moderately priced restaurant in the area. Most of the food is very good and reasonably priced (why are the pizzas so high? Don't understand that). The bread they serve before the meal is better than you get at other more expensive places. The service is always very good too. Not much... More

We come here quit often and were blessed to be here on Veterans day. The service is always great and the beer muffins are something to look forward to. We both had the ribs an as usual, they were great.

This place never disappoints (at any location) regarding food and service. I have been going here for over 20 years and have never been let down on my expectations. The service is also prompt and courteous; they are willing to accommodate for special dietary needs and desires; and the food always consistently tastes good.

great place for Bar B Que, I had a half slab of Hickory Smoked Bar-B-Que Ribs. It was delicious and the waitress was attentive. My dad had the "Ale" pork chop, which turned out to be most memorable American southern style food. One of the best lunch we had for the trip.

We visited here while on a trip to see the Vols play. We ate here on a Friday night before a Saturday football game. Our friends wanted to go to the original Calhouns on the River but it was too busy. We enjoyed our dinner here. I got one of the barbecue combos and everything was quite good. My daughter... More

I have visited the Calhouns on the river before and when I found this location I was happy that we didn't have to go so far but now I know that we should've made the trip. The service was seriously lacking and the food and portions left a lot to be desired. I won't be trying this location again. I... More

Came in for lunch on a Wednesday and was not disappointed. The wings here are the some of the best I have had. The sweet and hot sauce is great. The service was good, and this place is very clean. Well worth the stop if you are in the Knoxville area.

Giving a veteran a free meal not just a drink or appetizer is just an awesome idea. The food here is always a treat- but to have my husband treated to such a wonderful meal at no charge was the most touching thing. He had a half rack of ribs and I had the Terriakyi Chicken. Both meals were so... More

I wish I could remember her name, but I had one of the best waitresses here! Very attentive and kind, always there with a refill when you needed it--even if you didn't realize it.
