Knox Mason has the perfect vibe for our "scruffy little city"! All ages mingle and enjoy. Laid back scene with superb, inventive, locally sourced food. Chef is an alum of Blackberry Farm and it shows. He was also Governor Haslam's personal chef at the Governor's Mansion. Try the pork rinds or duck wing apps. All the mains are superb. You... More

Great Sunday brunch. The corn beef hash is not your typical hash, but it was good! Chunks of fresh corn beef with roasted potatoes in a bowl, and a fried egg on top! My wife had the Eggs Benedict, but with Pastrami and local sourced bacon, all on a home made muffin. The hollandaise was terrific, home made, rich and... More

Just dropped in on a week night..my sister and I. Service was excellent. Drinks at the bar were icy and the wait short! We had a cheese tray and it was wonderful! Our waitress was there when we needed her, and knew how to serve professionally. Really nice interior!

We went with some friends for dinner and the food was good. Like many places that are springing up in Knoxville it is a little on the pretentious side. I would say it is slightly overpriced for their interpretation of southern comfort food. For me it is worth a visit, but dont think I would go back.

My husband and I had an early Valentines dinner here. We were unexpectedly early however they were able to seat us. I must say the hostess made a slight off remark about us being early. Not appreciated. Things happen! We offered to sit at bar however they evidently seat it or something because we were quickly told its full. We... More

We (hubby and I) ate here on a December Wednesday evening at 5 p.m., when they opened. We were the first ones in the restaurant. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Hubby ordered a great Yee-haw Dunkel draft dark beer. We decided to split the wilted greens salad, as our appetizer before our main courses. The wilted greens salad was scrumptious... More

This was one of my favorite brunch experiences. We got poinsettias to drink and the food was superb. I've been late at night as well and also had good food.

This is one of the two or three best restaurants in town. It's a small place on Gay Street, excellent food, cocktails, and great service. One of my favorites is the panzanella, which is a vegetarian dish totally full of flavor. If you don't know if you like pork rinds, try them here, they are really nice. The portions are... More

We really enjoyed eating at Knox Mason. The service is great, which seems to be rare in the old city. We really like that they change up their menu often. The food has always been excellent.
