What a great little spot in Knoxville off the beaten path! Small, unassuming, neat-as-a-pin and clean. This family-owned restaurant serves up delicious Ethiopian cuisine that is wonderfully different from any other ethnic food you'll find in this area. All fresh ingredients, low fat, lots of vegan fare, wide range of spiciness to suit your taste. The spiced tea (hot or... More

I would recommend trying this restaurant. Staff is so kind and friendly. Food is delicious. Chicken Dora Tibs are my favorite! Spiced tea is so good too.

Yummy food, clean restaurant, nice service! We were traveling from California and looking for healthy food. My hubby is vegetarian, so he enjoyed the lentil dishes and the variety of vegetarian options. My pre-teen sons who eat a lot loved the food and were stuffed! My older son who is a foodie enjoyed the combo plate with chicken, beef, lentils... More

We had an early dinner here on a Thursday evening, so the restaurant was pretty quiet. Their selection is not as big as I've seen at other Ethiopian restaurants, but was adequate. There were about 8 vegan items on the menu, plus the option to pick and choose from these items for a combo platter. Our host/waiter was happy to... More

We came here through the recommendation of a friend and ended up absolutely loving our meal here. Although we'd never really had Ethiopian food before, we got great tips for ordering from our waitress. Ordered the 3 person combo veggie platter ---which came with a 8 options including two different kinds of lentils (hot and mild) and two kinds of... More

This is a really amazing, small, family-owner restaurant. The food is excellently spiced (though I would not call it spicy). Roasted meats in sauce, vegetables and lentils which you eat by pinching together an amazing, flat, soft bread to get a bite. Everyone in our family loves this place.

Straightforward, well spiced Ethiopian food! The menu offers a nice variety and I've had nothing that I dislike, though I've been several times. If you want it spicy, you can get it that way and/or adjust your heat level with the sauces available on the table. I love the injera bread. I love Ethiopian food because it is healthy soul... More

OK, that's not saying much since it is the ONLY Ethiopian restaurant in Knoxville. But I loved it and will go back. Very unique dining experience and delicious!

As most people, I was a little nervous trying Gosh the 1st time. What kind of ingredients would they use? Would it be super spicy? I had all sorts of questions. What I found was a nice atmosphere with staff that didn't mind questions. The food was delicious, using ingredients I am very comfortable with, in a new way. Spices... More
