We were going to a concert and needed to get in quickly and they made accommodations for us. The food is really good and they have many options.
When you want comfort food, this is your place. Wonderful varieties of mac & cheese (even the "individual" portion size is big) and many other tasty, southern favorites. We've been here at least half a dozen times (most recently New Years Eve with friends), and we find the service quite good and the ambiance pleasant. Great outdoor patio when weather... More
I have been to Cafe 4 several times and always have enjoyed the food. Most recently, I went on Monday night and enjoyed a $5 burger (sides, cheese, etc are extra). The Mac and cheese is always good. My typical go to dish is the grilled cheese and tomato bisque. The service is usually good but this most recent visit... More
The menu is varied enough for everyone to find something. In warm weather there is a really nice outdoor eating area facing Market Square. The night we visited was not as crowded as usual so the noise level was much less than during our last visit. The server staff was very attentive and professional. The manager thanked us for coming... More
Every visit has surpassed my expectations. The food, service, and modern atmosphere make this a great choice. Weather permitting, the outside seating is a nice option. The waiters and waitresses I've had have all been attentive, friendly, and knowledgable about the menu. The food has always been delicious, regardless of what I've ordered. My personal favorite are the shrimp tacos.... More
Perhaps the best and worst thing one can say of another is that they are well-meaning -- meaning that they both tried and failed. Situated very near what is arguably the best corner in the city, Cafe 4 offer mediocre fare at mid-level prices. Their wine selection is poor and they do not have a fully-functioning bar. The place is... More
I love Cafe 4!!! I can only rate this on one lunch, because it's my fave! Get the tomato bisque and grilled cheese sandwich.....it's not your typical grilled cheese, nor is the tomato bisque. Everyone orders something different. I am not interested....I just want my grilled cheese and soup! A wonderful place with upscale dining and prices to match, but... More
Take reservations which is nice because parking can be a hassle so nice to know you will get in the place. The food is good and reasonably priced. My only complaint is the menu is somewhat limited and hasn't seemed to change but hey, seems to work for them. Always a crowd here. Sitting on the patio and watching the... More
