Stopped for lunch and were the only folks in the place in this British pub-like restaurant/bar. We had a plowman's lunch for $19 and a few sandwiches. Food was good, cheeses were small; service was meager, given that we were the only people there. A...More

Used to be very good. Management no longer keeping quality up. Wine list crappy--really crappy and overpriced. Each glass of wine costs what the entire bottle would cost in a wine shop. Not so easy to find foodie entrees on menu. More pub than gastro....More

Stopped by the Crown and Goose for dinner. Atmosphere was great and food authentic. I had the Bangers and Mash which was plenty to eat and delicious. My wife had a meal with onion petals (like onion rings) which she liked. She was going to...More

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu is not your normal pub food. The food is fantastic (try the cheese boards)!!! The beer selection is very good and ever changing. I love being able to smoke a cigar in the beer garden.

We've been to C&G several times and have never been disappointed. The atmosphere can be a little loud but if you know that going in, you won't be disappointed. It almost has a family feel-sort of like Cheers, a place where everyone knows your name....More

Crown and Goose is my favorite in the Old City. Just a few blocks down from Market Square and serving a gastropub experience, C&G is a must eat if you are in Knoxville. When the weather is nice the beer garden is a great place...More

Amazing cheese boards...the Ploughman and European boards are unique & tasty! Fish and Chips are truly authentic. The soups are very tasteful! Sandwich selection is plentiful. ...Shepherds pie is always worth trying. ...Highly Recommend and the European atmosphere is true pub form....

Visiting for the holidays the decor make you feel like your in a Christmas card! The chef's choice charcuterie is OUT OF THIS WORLD! Extensive scotch selection... Try the ribeye soooo juicy!

Billed as "upscale", this is basically an English pub with English pub food. I'd never had "bangers and mash" or "bubble and squeak" so I can't tell if theirs was good, bad, or otherwise. I only know that I liked both. The meal was filling,...More

Up for the Vols vs Gators game and to visit my son. Took him and his roommate here after the game and beat the rush as they got busy right after we arrived. I had the Shepard's Pie and of course it has been Americanized...More
