I recently had the opportunity to have lunch at Cootie Browns in Johnson City. I was there at the lunch hour but still got prompt and courteous service. I had a trio of ground turkey sliders along with their famous spiral cut potato chips. There was a large amount of food for a lunch portion. I recommend sitting in the... More

This is one of our favorite restaurants. We love the outdoor patio which is open-air in warm weather and has a nice barrier in cold weather that still let's in a lot of light. The atmosphere is casual and friendly. The food is great and reasonably priced.

I saw reviews about poor attitudes of the waitstaff- I didn't experience that at all. Just the opposite, they were super friendly. Caught the 5.00 off special on Monday night, so I ordered the meat lovers. Toppings were good, crust is thin ( I like thin, just did not know until I got the pizza back to the room), only... More

The atmosphere was good and the restaurant was interesting. The waitress, I am hoping was tired because she was a little rude. The food had potentially good flavor. On the menu it shows two types of sides, regular and gourmet with two prices. A sweet potato is not gourmet. You can get a better sweet potato at a country restaurant... More

I need to return again as my first visit was not memorable enough to return. Friends have said it is very good. I am not a beer drinker. I ordered a sandwich which was good. Need to return next month as I need a second visit to form a better opinion about Cooties.

Cool little local place. Great variety of options. Homemade chips were great and if you like true tamales, the tamale pie is fabulous. Great beer selection and atmosphere. Our server was good but seemed like a lot of servers just standing around while he ran to every table. Would go back and n a minute.

I moved away from the area for a few years and every time I came back to visit I would ALWAYS want to go eat at Cootie Browns! One of my all-time favorite restaurants. You have to get the bleu cheese chips, I crave these and have went to the restaurant just to get an order. And also all their... More

First of all I love the food at Cootie Brown's. The menu is spectacular and all the dishes are delicious! I love the burgers and sandwiches here! Only thing about this place that I don't like tho...the extremely rude girls that work the cash register when its time to pay. Can't stand em! Rude as hell! Food's great and all... More

Wildly decorated local favorite. Appears to be an older building and the outside seating is exposed to a lot of road noise. It was rush hour. Surprisingly varied menu and some really luscious looking deserts. Key lime cookie sounded different since I didn't want a gigantic serving of cake. Wouldn't get it again but I definitely will come back.

Cootie Brown's is an eclectic little gem of a restaurant in Johnson City. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing. The menu has more choices than one has tastebuds. The have an extensive beer list (100+). The service is friendly and prompt. There is indoor and outdoor dining options (outdoor is much more fun).
