If you're looking for a cool, local place, this is a good one! We had the Colorado pizza which was cheesy, garlicky, and really tasty. The tamale was obviously handmade and fresh. One of the kids had chicken tenders with ranch that I could drink. Glad we stopped here.

If this is Johnson City's top restaurant then Johnson City is a disappointment. We should have known this place was going to have sub-par food when they advertise real food in quotation marks. (See picture) I ordered a burger which was dry and over cooked. You could tell it was a frozen patty. My husband ordered nachos with "chili." Which... More

I reviewed this property positively a number of years back, but returned today. I was not fully impressed with my meal. Service was good, the tamale I got for an appetizer was good. My muffuletta was a huge disappointment. It was not on muffuletta bread, and the "relish" was not authentic New Orleans style muffuletta relish. I have always liked... More

We really enjoy the atmosphere here! We ordered a half muffuletta with spiral chips and a Jamaican jerk chicken sandwich with chips. Everything was great!

Cootie Brown's is a one-of-a-kind place. Laid back, friendly service in a truly funky setting. While the outdoor dining patio beckons, be sure to go inside to see the hand painted wall murals inspired by the artist's creative whimsy. The menu is quite extensive, including Mexican dishes, pizza, sandwiches and more. They have an extensive bottled beer selection with lots... More

We like to eat at unique places when we travel so we decided to check out this place. Well they cant all be winners. The curly chips that other reviews rave about are soggy potatoe chips that have no flavor so I'm not sure what the spice is they use. Their special ranch is just a pesto. No big deal... More

Best sandwiches in town. Very unusual decor. White pizza is to die for. They have 2 locations. one is in Johnson City, the other is in Bristol. Club sandwhich is the best sandwich. the make homemade chips which are out of this world.

The only thing I've actually eaten at cootie browns is the key lime pie. It is to die for. Ive gone several times to pick up a whole key lime pie to take to family functions, cookouts etc. Would definately say you need to try this place.

Plain, nothing fancy (or good) and a pretty average diner atmosphere. I've seen larger burgers at a fast food restaurant. AND.....hate when your entree arrives before you have a chance to finish your salad....thats just their desire to get you out of there? Sorry, but NO hurry to return.
