A little loud but that's because its popularity - always busy. Bbque is good and sauce is good. Love their house salad and dressing . Desserts are out of this world - especially the fudge finale .

Based on TA ratings we tried this restaurant on a recent visit to Johnson City. It's a firehouse themed restaurant where the decor is perhaps the biggest strength of the restaurant. With barbecue especially I'd rather have awesome meat and eat in a shack. Don't get me wrong the food isn't bad at The Firehouse it just wasn't great and... More

Funny, perhaps, but I left this restaurant with the impression that it wants to be an upscale BBQ place, and there is something inherently contradictory in that vision, at least in the South. There are some very good, unpretentious BBQ places in Johnson City and surrounds, and typically they offer generous portions of good, simple food at quite reasonable prices.... More

Went to the Firehouse after a Johnson City Cardinals game based on TA ratings. Had nachos to split with my friends with pulled chicken and two sides. The cole slaw wasn't great, but the rest was fine. Super waitress,Worth a stop if in the area..

The food was great ( I used to own BBQ restaurants and know my Q!!) This owner knows his stuff and I was told he has been there for 35 years. Has his own smokehouse. The chopped broccoli is outrageous, top notch ribs and pulled pork. The staff is so very friendly and service was excellent. Do not miss this... More

The restaurant is very cute. It's an old firehouse and they even have a fire truck inside. The fire truck is still functional! The restaurant is decorated in a very fun fashion. The service was great. Our waiter was very attentive. The food came out very quickly and was very tasty. My Carolina BBQ was moist and I enjoyed the... More

My wife and I came here for dinner. We both had the Carolina pulled Carolina pulled pork BBQ sandwich. I was eager to try it, as I am from Memphis and love Memphis BBQ. The sandwich was good, however I still get Memphis Barbecue the edge. But, I say if you're ever in Johnson City, be sure to give the... More

We selected this restaurant based on Trip Advisor and found it to be excellent. Two of us shared a baby back ribs and the staff was extremely accommodating in preparing shared dishes. Ribs were a bit tough, but very tasty. Liked the Firehouse sauce. Definitely would come back.

This was my first time eating lunch here. The Volunteer was really good. Big piece of grilled chicken topped with cheese and pineapple slices. The food came out fast and it was a friendly atmosphere. I got a water to drink and my total bill was about $12 with tip.

Thank Candice H
