I've gone to The Firehouse for years and have never took the time to write a review. This is some of the best barbecue and accompaniments I've had ANYWHERE. If you're up to taking the stairs, the upstairs dining room is more conducive to quieter conversation or even a business lunch. Love the iced tea as well as the pulled... More

We were there for dinner. It was great as usual. I have been frustrated with them running out of the ribs sometimes. Nothing more frustrating than driving from Bristol and waiting 20 minutes to have your waiter tell you they are out of ribs. lol Well I got my ribs and they were great! My date had never been there... More

We have been stopping there for years when in Johnson City. The food was excellent as always. but I gave it an average because the staff was some what lacking. They were on target in terms of getting our food out in a timely manner and keeping drinks refilled, but we felt hurried and were seated alone in the very... More

Usually a nice place to eat at good prices... However, now the service is untrained and the management uncaring. On 09/14/2016, Catherine S. dragged my plate away while I was finishing a sandwich. No explanation or excuse offered. Now to be fair this was the first time this happened at the Firehouse. So I gave the usual 20% tip and... More

Food is great but the employees are so very kind! My husband loves the BBQ and I love the turkey croissant sandwich!

The pork/beef barbecue plates are generous in size and high in quality. I love the atmosphere of the old firehouse. Tom's antique fire engine is eye-catching to both young and old alike. I've always had excellent service, but I usually avoid the peak dinning times--it does get a bit busy.

Had a pulled chicken sandwich...unfortunately first bite included a long blonde hair. Manager was quick to handle the situation, the kitchen made me a new meal and the manager comped my meal. I have been here numerous time, they even catered my daughters wedding. Food is usually great, with the exception of my last visit.

I've frequented this local treasure for over 30 years. I always have the same thing. The pulled pork BBQ platter. With extra sauce. The on sight smoked meat is tender, most and some of the best to be had in Johnson City. There sauce is sweet and tangy, with a peppery undertone. I think the course black pepper is there... More

We flew into town for the Battle at Bristol, and our first stop was Firehouse. You just can't beat the spiciness of the barbecue sauce and the delicious sides -- especially the hash brown casserole. You hear people talk about Ridgewood, but in my book, there's no better barbecue in the Tri-Cities than Firehouse!
