I had been here years ago when it was just Nana’s Custard. I had the ham and cheese panini and Dirty Irishman Affogato. They easily halved the syrup content for me, as I don’t like things too sugary. They use their frozen custard in their affogato. It was delicious. The panini was made on a nice crispy sourdough, with plenty of thick cut ham, nicely melted Swiss cheese and a bit of honey mustard. 😋

My wife and I went here for breakfast one morning and ordered the sausage balls and cinnamon buns. Both were very good and the cinnamon buns are enormous. The coffee we ordered was also very good. The only downside to this place that we ran into, and neither are what I'd consider bad, is the food is too large (maybe dense) for the plastic forks they give you. We ended up breaking 3 forks between the 2 of us and that was being careful after the first one broke. The other is the size of the place if you want to eat in. There really isn't enough room for 3 tables of 2. But again, these are very, very small complaints and the food, drink and customer service is really very good.

I love Sourdough Cuppa Joe. Not only is this a local historic landmark and cool place to sit outside and eat delicious food, but the drive through option makes this a great breakfast place to eat at, outside or on the go. I love everything I've tried, from the sourdough toast, specialty drinks and quiches to the cinnamon rolls and cookies. I am a sucker for freshly made baked goods and this place is truly one-of-a-kind. I can't wait to bring my family here when they move to town next month. I think it's a hidden gem that people don't always think about when they think "Where should we go for breakfast?" but they certainly should! Sourdough Cuppa Joe does not disappoint!

Cinnamon Rolls are Huge and definitely my go to, however I have not had anything I did not like. Great locally owned coffee shop I’m glad to have so close to home!

I love there coconut milk lattes. So happy to find a place close that makes them. Relatives like their sausage balls.

I love SDCJ and visit at least once a week. Everything I've had has been great, but my favorites are their cold brew and sausage balls. The staff is friendly and their service has definitely gotten more speedy since opening. I love supporting this local business! Their coffee's flavor is far superior to Starbucks!

I stopped in to use a gift certificate I’d been given. I had a grilled pimento cheese sandwich on sourdough bread. It was so delicious I bought a loaf of sourdough to bring home. I’ll definitely go back! This is a small locally-run business with friendly staff and food you can tell they take pride in serving.

Took a nice morning drive to check this place out. It's pretty neat inside an old walk-up drive in restaurant. The interior is nice and inviting.
There were two people ahead of me and there were two people working inside while one of their co-workers rested on a bench out front.
It took a minute or 3 to work through the two customers ahead; mostly it looked like processing through a discount they had.
I ordered a small coffee and muffin. I waited longer than I expected for a basic order; the employee did apologize for the wait and kept me informed of the status. Outside of the service being slow the employee was very pleasant.
The coffee was tasty as was the muffin, they make their bakery items in-house.
Overall positive experience.

This is the kind of place that everyone should want to support. They have a great story, they make great coffee and food, and they work really hard to make sure all of their customers are loved and taken care of.

The lattes and hoy coffee drinks are wonderful. They have plenty of tried and true drinks that you'd recognize from chain coffee places, as well as drinks that they put their own twist on. Their sweet scones are perfect for a treat in the morning, and if you come at lunch time, they make a Grilled Cheese Panini for an insanely good price. The panini is cheddar cheese of sourdough bread, and it is a wonderful spin on a childhood classic. Definitely check them out if you're looking for a locally-owned coffee shop!

Our family visits regularly because they have great coffee and baked goods! I go for the quiche, but my wife and son love sourdough toast with sugar free jam! Really nice staff as well!

One order of regular coffee for me and one order of "satin slipper" for her. The "satin slipper" is this months special drink. My wife loved it. Both drinks was great. This was our first visit to this local establishment but not the last.
