Our Place Café is located in the heart of Hendersonville, TN. We specialize in delicious and freshly prepared Southern home-cooking. We offer a variety of options for catering as well; from full service to drop off caterings. Give us a call to discuss catering your next event large or small! Our Place Café has been in business since 2010. Ali and Michael Stevens have been the owners of Our Place Café since January 2023. We are proud to employ 2 special needs young talents. We sponsor several local missions, bowling leagues, baseball teams, and more for the community. Our Place Café features daily favorites such as Turkey & Dressing, Home-made Meatloaf, Fried Catfish & Hushpuppies, and Skinless Fried Chicken along with Real Mashed Potatoes, Country Green Beans, White Shoepeg Corn, Boiled Cabbage, White Beans, Turnip Greens, Fried Okra and of course, Macaroni & Cheese. Great Food, Great People, Just pick your days -

My wife and I have loved Our Place Cafe for years and are regulars on certain menu days. The staff is friendly and helpful and the manager "Donny" is amazing. Donny is one of the friendliest you'll ever meet and bends over backward to make customers welcome and happy. As for the food, it's first class ! Among our favorites are the meatloaf, turkey & dressing and steak with onions or gravy. But, most entrees are good. The desert variety is good and homemade sides are consistent and fresh. Recommended favorite sides are mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, green beans, lima beans, brussels sprouts, black-eye peas, squash, greens, dressing and macaroni & tomatoes. Plus, they have the very best fried apples you'll find. One of the few sides that are not recommended are the scalloped potatoes, which do not taste homemade. One suggestion we've offered is to always offer "mashed" potatoes on "meatloaf" days. These two just naturally go together and are served together most everywhere else, but not here. On Tuesdays (meatloaf day) they only offer scalloped potatoes instead of mashed, and it's a shame. In fact, despite our pleas, Tuesdays have the least attractive veggie options of the week IMO. Also, they tend to run out of sides frequently, so go early, or call ahead. As for portion size, it's a mixed bag and depends entirely on who serves. This can vary from small "child plate" portions, to hearty, man-size servings, so monitor take out orders carefully. The rolls are typically good, but small, so ask for extra, or you will get one only. Even with these minor things, Our Place remains one of our favorite dining options in town. Take it home and enjoy, or dine-in and get treated with smiles and a free cookie at your table, the folks at Our Place do it right and really care about their customers.

Also nice clean place and very nice workers. It’s cafeteria style so in get in quick plenty of seating, the food is excellent and plenty of choices to make. I think for families this place is great something for everyone. If you go to there’s website they have the daily menu posted

I had my wedding reception catered by Our Place Cafe. They did an amazing job! Extremely friendly and very professional. The food was delicious, as always. They helped cut and serve cake, refill drinks, and clean up. I couldn’t have asked for any better. I highly recommend their food (dining in) and booking them for any catering events!!!

Can't say enough about the service and the friendliness at this restaurant. Too bad, the food does not get the same high marks. The mac and cheese was good, but the fried chicken was cold; the turnip greens tasted like they had been flavored with old meat. the small complimentary fresh baked chocolate chip cookie was almost redeeming. We are marking this place off of our list.

Hired for a wedding receiption event, we were very very disappointed.

Wedding reception event for 95 guest in December 2022. We did not get the staff service promised and definately not all the food we paid for ! The food was good, but not very hot. We planned and paid for 95, sadly 24 guest no showed. Our guest were served 1 controlled portion thru the serving line just one time, then suddenly all the food and drinks were cleared away off buffet line. All the stenos, and nice drink dispensers were replaced with a tin tray of rolls and gallon jugs of water and tea on the serving line. We were barely 1 hour into the reception, and all the un-served food was removed from the room without any warning or discussion. I asked the on site catering manager where is the rest of our food, we should have 24 extra full meals for our guest to have possible additional servings. We were told, the food is always cleared right after the guest go through once. I asked where is the food I paid for all of it, his response was that the food was loaded and taken back to "reuse". I asked reused for what, the response was, "for other meals". I could not believe what I heard ! That is unfair to me when I paid for all 95 full meal servings, and possibly unsanitary, and surely not good business. When I later emailed the owner, weeks later I finally got a response that they "donate" the left over food. Hum, not what I was told, and before you donate any extra food, shouldn't you talk to the the paying customer and let them decide to offer seconds to their guest or what they want to do with the extra? Also, there was a misunderstanding about removing glasses from un-used seats. The staff removed glasses from all tables even those half full glasses where guest were on the dance floor at the time. Seems logic would tell you to just remove empty unused glasses. The entire night felt like the wait staff was in a a rush to get done and get out. I emailed the owner several times, trying to discuss the issues, and I asked for a partial refund for the 24 meals they chose to not serve. Absolutely no understanding from her, and no regard for customer satisfaction.

since new onwers took over price keeps going up and the quality and portions have been cut in half,,

I Have ate here since the beginning when the original owners had it,Place was great all around now that there are new owners meat and 2 cost me over 15.00 hell i can go to Texas Road House for that price and the amount and the quailty has really gone down hill sorry but true,,ive also notice the traffic in the place has also cut down,at $15 a plate for meat and 2 I can see why

Loved this place for years now

I have been eating at our place for years now and I love me some good veggies. Always hot and delicious. Love the homemade veggies and homemade cakes. They just added a new outdoor patio as well

Nice surprise

My wife and I dropped in to the cafe for lunch. We really didn't know what to expect but saw reviews on TripAdvisor and decide to give it a try. It was a very pleasant surprise of good homemade cooking in a very friendly staff. Everything was fresh in the chocolate chip cookies were a nice surprise. I highly recommend if you're in Hendersonville to stop in and enjoy the food at our place Cafe.

I try to eat here at least once a week. Can’t go wrong on catfish day. Meatloaf is excellent. Most everything here is delicious.

Catfish Night

My wife and I took our neighbor for all you can eat catfish. We got there around 5:00p and the food on the cafe line was stale. My wife got 2 pieces of catfish while my neighbor and I waited for ours. Our catfish was much better than hers. I would recommend going when busy and the food would be fresher

I can't believe I've never been to this great eatery! This cafeteria style meat and three/homestyle cooking cafe is very unpretentious on the outside and also on the inside. It was catfish night when my friend and I stopped by for dinner. For less than $9 I got a healthy helping of delicious mashed potatoes, lima beans, a large piece of catfish! The hush puppies were a little too spicy for my taste. I can't wait to go back!

Quick and good food for the $$

It is set up as the classic local meat & 3. Go through the line and pick from 2 or 3 meats and 5 or 6 vegetables. The people that work there and the owner are very friendly.
