I’m quite saddened by our visit here, yesterday, and I just can’t find any positive note. I’m not sure if the staff was already not vibing with the “after church” crowd that is probably usual on Sunday afternoons (not us), or if having to order...with diet restrictions just aggravate people. I’m pretty sure our waitress was already aggravated when we arrived, but just ordering water to drink can sometimes make people think we are just “cheap”, but we don’t drink sugary drinks. Is it just wrong in the restaurant world to eat healthy and listen to our bodies? Our meals weren’t “bad”, per se, but it was all definitely overly dry and overly cooked. I had to drown my food in salsa, just to rehydrate it. Probably will never return here. Again, there just was no positive point, except that the chips and salsa were served in a cute tray.More

As you alk in to the restaurant the signage alludes to the fact that it is the best or nearly the best in Nashville. That may be true for one of the Nashville locations. This was pretty pedestrian. The food was OK. It came with...a very hot plate warning, so I assume the food was microwaved. The waitperson was very attentive. I had combo #13 which was refried beans, rice, enchilada and burrito. I boxed the next day's lunch, so the portions were large.More

As long as I have lived in the Nashville area, Las Palmas has been considered one of the finest places the enjoy Mexican food. Because of moving farther away, it's been years since I went to one. The service was mediocre at best, not very...prompt, and when my food arrived, my meal had chicken and beef, instead of chicken and shrimp as I ordered. However, I went ahead and ate it without comment because I didn't want my husband to have to wait for me while they made me the correct meal. The beef was not something I had planned on for my diet, so that was something of an inconvenience, but at least not a devastating mistake like a food allergy. The beef and chicken neither one had any flavor whatsoever. I actually added salt to it. That is probably the first time I have ever salted Mexican food. With so many Mexican restaurants available, I'm said to say that we probably won't go back to this one again.More

The Restaurant Opens at 11am We come in and Stood there for a few Minutes before We were Sitted, and took a few Minutes before We were Greeted By Our Waitress. Plus had to ask for Silverware. Things went Smoother after that I ordered 3...of the Street Tacos for $2 each which were Good and had the Lunch Fajitas and My Friend had the Enchilada Lunch. My Beef Fajitas were over Cooked and They Tooked Them back and I got a new Order. Our Lunch was Good. They need to be Concerned about Their Service and have Their Employees finish Their Lunch before They Open, or Don't Open until You Are Ready for Customer. Their Food is Ok but not the Best, and Service is apart of the Experience.More

Las Thomas Rivergate has lost me forever. When ordering fajitas for lunch, they give you a condiment cup of sour cream and guacamole for a whole plate of fajitas. When asking the manager for more, he compared his restaurant to McDonald’s and the sweet and...sour sauce given with their menu items. The proportions are wrong for the size of the lunch plate. Lunch fajitas at any other restaurant are $7.99 to $8.99. At Las Palmas it is $9.69. They are giving you less for more money than any other Mexican restaurant in Nashville and surrounding counties. The customer is always right, and this one will not bring his employees, friends, business associates back to this location ever again!More

The lunch size chicken fajitas with grilled onions and peppers were delicious. Accompanied by guac, rice, beans, sour cream, very tasty pico, flour tortillas, and extra corn tortillas which were perfect. More than enough for 2 of us with leftovers to go. My nephew had...a chicken breast with chorizo, potatoes, cheese, rice, beans, and tortillas. Lots leftover also. We signed up for the e-club when we arrived and promptly received an email coupon for free queso dip. Perfect with the chips while we waited for lunch. The host and server were friendly and kept chips and drinks filled. The restaurant and restrooms were cery clean. Will definitely return when in the area.More

I love Las Palmas, it has been around in the Nashville area for many years. You can get any Mexican dish to satisfy you here. ships are great, the salsa is fantastic and the food is always hot. However, the service I had recently with...my pal and I was just silly. We came in and were seated quickly, but after about 10 minutes we asked for a waiter. Seems like we were being impatient, but there were only 3 tables sat in the whole place. So We felt like it was ok to ask for a waiter. He came with an attitude. We ordered and the food was fine no issues. The waiter had to be asked to for refills. He could have been having a bad day.More

Started out ok. My daughter and I ordered the same thing, 1 taco, 2 enchiladas, rice, 2 cokes and medium cheese dip. I ordered all beef and she ordered chicken. We were asked if we wanted red sauce, we said yes. When it arrived hers...had red sauce, mine had green. When I asked, I was told green is the same as red and green comes on beef, red on chicken. The green sauce was nasty. During dinner my daughter kept feeling something drip on her. I could see anything until it happened again. The ac above us was dripping directly on the table. When we told the server he said and I quote, "that's strange the drip was over here earlier." We then waited 20 mins or the check. The manager walked by and asked if we wanted more chips we said no just the check. It was handed to us around the booth because it seems the party of 20 was more important then our party of 2. When we went to pay, the usual question of "how was everything". Our reply no it was not. The manager said "oh" and never made eye contact after that. Bottom line - bad food, bad service and the building really needs an upgrade. Having water drips in your food is not what you expect to pay for. By the way we paid $30 for the meal listed above. To expensive.More

Eaten at my fair share of Mexican restaurants over the long years on the road, but for the most part they are either good or bad taste wise. Here the food was so bland it was almost tasteless. The complimentary salsa was mostly pureed tomatoes,...asked for a hotter version and was given pretty much straight red chili sauce. I had fajitas. The meat wasn't marinated, no seasoning on anything - very disappointed. Could have been hospital food...More

We went for dinner while staying in the area. Nice interior, got seated right away. Chips & salsa were served right away and were really good. Guacomole dip was really good. My husband had chicken burritto and said it was one of the best he...ever had ( he loved the sauce on top of it ) I had combination fajitas ( steak, chicken, shrimp), and everything, including beans & rice was really good. Meat was tender and shrimp delicious. Our server was appropriately attentive and service was good. Other staff were nice as well. We will definitely eat here again when in the area.More
