I just walked in about 30 minutes ago and order General Tso’s Chicken at the counter and got all the way home in Collierville to discover that they gave me Sweet and Sour Chicken. I don’t like really sweet dinner foods and this was too...sweet for my taste but the chicken was good. So i’m not really happy at this moment. #stillcravingMore
I usually eat take-out Chinese, but occasionally we like to come here because we love the atmosphere. They serve everything on beautiful dishes. There are water features throughout and soft music playing. The food is always great and the service is impeccable. The last time...we ate here our server was quite attentive and polite. He came by just often enough to be sure we had everything we needed. The menu has the usual things you'd expect at a Chinese restaurant, but they are always cooked with great quality and freshness. I don't know what was going on for this place to receive low ratings from some others, but we've eaten their food for years and have always had great food and great service.More
Unfortunately, there is no ability to 1/2 or - star a restaurant on here. The standard dishes we ordered were unrecognizable by any bench mark of modern Chinese cuisine.
I ordered sesame chicken which is typically a crispy sesame coated boneless chicken with a sweetish...brown sauce. What I received was thickly battery chicken strips with sweet and sour sauce with some raw sesame seeds thrown on top. I know this because I got a side of sweet and sour sauce for the crab wontons (rangoons?).
The shrimp fried rice was of proper consistency and taste - but had some sort of microscopic sea monkey sized Arthropods instead of actual shrimp.
The wonton soup instead of being a chicken based stock with scallions, beef tongue and wontons - was a sad cabbage based vegetable broth with mostly vegetables, devoid of taste and having mostly liquidated wontons filled with some sort of pork sludge.
Overall negative 5 stars.
A few bright spots: The counter help was friendly and inviting. The fortune cookies made in New Jersey were great. The crab wontons pass, although mostly crab flavored cream cheese.
It defies the imagination to know how this place is ranked so highly on TA - my only guess is the cook quit and has not been satisfactorily replaced.More
We’ve ordered here before and the food has been very greasy. But decided to try again. Ordered at 5:00 or so.....it is currently 8:33 and still no food. Have been calling the restaurant since 6:33... they will not answer after 75 calls..... no joke!! Please...don’t waste your time as they do NOT careMore
The food was amazing. We ordered chicken lomein, fried rice, mushroom chicken, crab rangoon, and egg rolls. They delivered in a timely manner. I called at almost 9 and they closed at 9:30 pm and still were nice enough to deliver.
