This little restaurant is excellent in every way. My wife and I were out shopping on a hot and humid Saturday afternoon when we strolled across this unexpected gem in the heart of Franklin. We were seated promptly by the maitre d' who made sure we received prompt service. The waitress was informative, professional and attentive. I had an excellent... More

Always our stop when we go to the Franklin Theater (right across the street). Can't go wrong with Shepherds Pie or Fish & Chips. They also have my favorite Irish beer on tap - Smithwick's.

Well I hate to say it but if I was asked if I would come back? My answer would be: "I will yea..." (actually meaning I will not). I usually try to write good reviews, and this won't will not be mean, just honest. So upon entering we were greeted with stares, and this was including the 2 staff members... More

You can often tell how good a pub is by how they pour a Guinness. Theis place did it right! Great atmosphere, tasty food and great beer. What more does one need?

I recently had the pleasure of visiting McCrearys Irish pub in Franklin. In all of my travels, have only frequented two other Irish pubs and I totally enjoyed it. So… I figured I was in for a treat with this one as well. When we walked in, I could tell it was a cozy, family, local pub. Our waitress was... More

I liked the fish and chips. I don't eat fried food too much (they say it is bad for you). So, when I am going to indulge, I want to make sure it's perfect. The fish and chips fit the bill. Crispy outside, hot flaky inside. Friendly wait staff.

Just wanted a quick inexpensive weeknight dinner in downtown franklin....McCrearys fit the bill perfectly. Like real irish pubs family friendly, simple food, friendly atmosphere. I ordered the Reuben but next time I'm going for either the chicken sausages or the shepherds pie. My husband had the fish sandwich& a Guinness. He said he'd come back and order it again....high praise... More

We wholeheartedly agree with you on the Irish coffee! So wish we could provide it but Tennessee has some strange liquor laws regarding seating capacity that we fall through the cracks on that one unfortunately. We keep hoping one day we will get the opportunity to serve it and some good old fashioned Irish whiskey! At any rate, thank you... More

We stopped into McCreary's for happy hour; 2 for 1 drafts and good apps made for a nice afternoon. Comfortable atmosphere for a small place, good beer and wine selection...it's a good quick fix for this Boston girl's pub needs!

Great food and a fun atmosphere. It's nice to eat outside, but you've got to see inside, too. I always get fish and chips. My husband usually chooses shepherd's pie. Lots of selection for beer, too.
