Wonderful luncheon experience. Both the Cuban (smoked ham + BBQ) and Chicken Salad sandwich were delicious. The coconut cake is a tasty slice of a 1 layer cake for $8 (pricey but very good - unfortunately not enough for 2 people). A small, very nicely decorated restaurant with two private dining rooms for groups. Interesting paintings in groups by style.... More

Delicious food in a relaxing atmosphere. Fried green tomatoes with pimiento cheese were amazing! The biscuits with honey butter and blueberry jam were a big hit.

We had a large group of old friends who had not seen each other in ages. We were able to get a small dining room which was just perfect for the evening. Many restaurants are so loud these days that I find conversations difficult. The noise level at this location is not an issue, making for a very enjoyable evening.... More

I had actually been to this restaurant before and though I thought it was good, I didn't feel it was anything special. This time, my experience was different. First, the service. Our reservation was on the early side of dinner, so we arrived a little before the restaurant opened. As soon as we approached the door and started to find... More

I got the beef brisket sandwich with broccoli salad. Both were very tasty and I recommend both. Had to take half of it home! My sister got the crab/grapefruit salad. She said it was quite refreshing but needed more crab.

Justin , my server, knew menu and had great suggestions! The 4 cheese mac and cheese was like nothing I've ever tasted. Great place for dates. The chef definitely knows what he's doing!

Great southern charm with remarkably great food. The fried oysters were big and plump just lightly breaded and just enough heat in the sauce paired with the smoked pork belly and a glass of Prosecco and I was off to a great start of a meal. Followed that up with the Cobia which was perfectly cooked and finished with the... More

My wife had Cuban and I had chicken salad. Food was average, salad was bland and wife said the Cuban was ok. Not much to choose from on the lunch menu.

Sophisticated Southern and Gourmet Country are great ways to describe the cuisine at the charming Mack & Kate"s Cafe. Named after two sisters, MacKenzie and Kathleen, our family owned and operated establishment will make you feel right at home. Started in a small, sleepy town, Mack & Kate's humbled beginnings took place in a small service station. This charming little destination dining spot grew over eight years, resulting in the Strawn Family relocating Mack & Kates to Franklin, TN.
We enjoy seeing our friends from our early days and our new friends here in Franklin.
We use the freshest and finest when it comes to our ingredients and always support local farmers and growers. We pride our self in our accommodating and knowledgeable service team and the ability to consistently feed our customers what they are looking for; the freshest from the best.
