Six off us stopped by in the middle of the week in middle afternoon. Had homebuilders veggies and meat lunch. Homemade yeast tools and cornbread. Be sure to save room for wonderful homemade desserts. Service was with southern friendly. Food came out quickly. We will definitely be back when in the area. Excellent!

It sounded like a neat place. Food was just okay. I had the chicken and dumplings...Cracker Barrel was better. My husband did say his fried catfish was good. Dessert was excellent. We were expecting more animals. Animals did not have clean water. The donkey's ribs were showing. The rabbit pen was overgrown. The best part was the playground. Well shaded... More

Had a Saturday lunch here after being told by a friend about this restaurant. We enjoyed the food, the staff is very friendly and the view is wonderful. One of the treats for me at the Cookie Jar Cafe is that you are in the middle of a working farm with quite a history but the biggest treat aside from... More

We went here for lunch our last two days in town. The food was great and the portions were large. The staff was very friendly. The service was excellent.

I have a real problem with this place.....Chicken livers or Grilled meatloaf? Chicken livers win again! Service is always great!

Quaint place, the views are to die for, busy, the staff awesome! The food left a lot to be desired, salad was from a bag like Walmart, the slaw was from a bag also, the special ,baked chicken was soggy outside, dry inside, cut in half chicken breast and pounded into a flat piece of meat, My husband's steak was over... Heard about this place on the radio and decided to give it a try, and I am glad we did. The Cookie Jar Cafe offers real home cooking. Even the rolls and cornbread they put on the table to start the meal are homemade. Our table ordered meatloaf, chicken casserole (read as chicken and cornbread dressing), cheese burger (and this... The food is very good. I had the burger and fries with a slice of coconut pie. The burger was just an average burger, the steak fries were above average and the pie was a slice of heaven. My wife had the fried green beans and said they were perfect. Another person had the fried tilapia and was very pleased.... More
