Went there with family to celebrate my birthday. Cute restaurant lined with every imaginable style of cookie jar! Service was quick and friendly. Great variety of food to choose from. Portions are generous. Desserts awesome. It's out in the middle of nowhere, but obviously well frequented. Nice drive from Chattanooga area.

Stopped here for dinner with a tour group. It's a restaurant on a hill on a working farm and you'd have to be a local or looking for it to find it. I had the ribeye, baked sweet potato and salad. The steak wasn't cooked quite like I expected but I didn't complain and it was tasty. The homemade rolls... More

First of all it is not easy to findo. There are no signage. Then the wait time was an hour, so we left. The locals told us that it was good home cooking.

Great selection of good old meat-and- three and the best pies and cupcakes around! When you come, you will join locals and visitors alike at a unique venue in the beautiful Sequatchie Valley. Locally owned and operated, the cookie jar is a destination for Chattanoogans as well as a local hang out. The farm setting and cookie jar collection add... More

I know the family that runs this restaurant and they strive to serve the best "home cooking" you can find. All their desserts are homemade (I love anything they do with strawberries) and their chicken and dumplings are the best. My husband's favorite is the grilled meatloaf and the fried catfish is also amazing. You will love the atmosphere and... More

Enjoyable people, good food, out of the way. Located on a working farm, the food is fresh and tasty. Worth the trip.

Six off us stopped by in the middle of the week in middle afternoon. Had homebuilders veggies and meat lunch. Homemade yeast tools and cornbread. Be sure to save room for wonderful homemade desserts. Service was with southern friendly. Food came out quickly. We will definitely be back when in the area. Excellent!

It sounded like a neat place. Food was just okay. I had the chicken and dumplings...Cracker Barrel was better. My husband did say his fried catfish was good. Dessert was excellent. We were expecting more animals. Animals did not have clean water. The donkey's ribs were showing. The rabbit pen was overgrown. The best part was the playground. Well shaded... More

45 minute wait with empty tables everywhere plus a completely empty bar. we asked if we could sit at the bar and was told "it would be a minute". waited a while to watch two employees walk around and look at each other, not really doing anything. we decided to leave. with service like that to start with, i doubt... Had a Saturday lunch here after being told by a friend about this restaurant. We enjoyed the food, the staff is very friendly and the view is wonderful. One of the treats for me at the Cookie Jar Cafe is that you are in the middle of a working farm with quite a history but the biggest treat aside from... More
