We were on way from Ky. to Ar. and stopped to visit Shiloh. We were told about this restaurant. What a wonderful surprise. We did not have a reservation but were treated royally with ice tea while we waited. We asked for a table with...a view of the water. They gave us such a great table with a delightful view of the water. The view is one that is beautiful and memorable. Sun was setting and we were thrilled with the view and the food matched the view. Waiter was very courteous and helpful. The decorations were lovely with black and white the main colors.. White sofa in the bar. Wish we could go back but doubt we will be that way again. Did I say the food was delicious. Only problem was our bad knees trying to go up and down the stairs. Be nice if they had an elevator. But we would go back if we could.More
If you're visiting the Savannah, Tennessee area then your dining options are limited. However, if you drive to nearby Crump you won't be disappointed. I ordered the jumbo fried shrimp, homemade hush puppies, baked potato and the meal included the salad bar. We had a...terrific view overlooking the Tennessee River, the meal was spot on, service was excellent and the price was very reasonable! We were there on a Saturday night which featured a singer/guitar player who was also a pleasant surprise.More
We have been going to River Heights for years and we love the place. The restaurant has recently been remodeled and is under new management. The new management team is well experienced at running quality restaurants. We were there with friends a couple of weeks ago and they...were packed. We were quickly seated close to one of the big windows where we could enjoy the beautiful Tennessee River. The building is less than 100 feet from the river. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. We ordered our favorite king cut prime rib with salad bar. The beef was cooked to a perfect medium rare ,and the salad bar has everything you could want. This is the best salad bar in the area ,everything is fresh.Great meal, great place ,we will be back.More
I was a little confused by this place. Not sure if its trying to sell itself as fine dining or casual dining. Based on the decor, table clothes, the menu, and menu selection/pricing it seems more fine dining. However, the food experience leans much more...towards casual dining. The food was average. I had the rib sandwich. Its was ok. I do prefer my meat to be precut on a sandwich. Its difficult to eat a sandwich with an entire rib on it, especially if it's a little tough. It was also the first time I've had mayo, lettuce, and tomato on a rib sandwich. Wasn't crazy about that combo. The flavor of the steak was decent though. I wish they had more options to choose from on the menu. The prices are just way too high for what they offer. The waitress was kind and the view of the TN River is the best thing about this place.More
River Heights has a wide selection of main courses and side dishes to choose....Chicken, steaks, fish and shrimp, and even delicious chicken livers! Their salad bar is excellent! Wine or full bar service is available, super mixed drinks.
We decided to take a day trip to Pickwick state park. We ended up driving north up the east side of the TN river and then came back down the west side toward the Shiloh civil war battlefield. At lunch we decided we wanted to...eat somewhere with a view of the river and stumbled across River Heights Restaurant. Great find, the view of the river was absolutely spectacular. The food was reasonably priced and very good. Service was exceptional. Not sure I could ever find it again, but if you stumble across it's worth the stopMore

NO !! Though the view was very scenic looking down the Tennessee River you had to look around the bird crap. My wife thought the place was filthy but I really didn't notice other than the windows but gave them a pass as the windows were 25' in the air. My wife would not eat so I ordered, ate quickly, and we left. When you get in a remote area like that life style is different. Here in Fort Wayne that would never happen but out in the middle of the south you can expect something like this.
