We just had to try this place because the big sign was so iconic! Cute and old fashioned little spot with a nice variety of flavors. We shared the Tennessee fudge and it was yummy.

Cream City is today's version of an old time ice cream parlor, located in downtown Cookeville, right across from used to be the town's railroad station, which is now a museum. In short, the place is incredibly colorful and full of nostalgia for the good...old days of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. They must have over twenty varieties of ice cream on offer as well as about that many ice coffee drinks as well as shakes. They also offer hot dogs for savory tastes. The ice cream is the big draw, judging from the many customers drawn to it. Plenty of parking is available on the street our front of the store.More

My wife loves ice cream. We stopped in based upon two recommendations from strangers. This was easily the best ice cream we have ever had. My wife said, Life Changing. Red velvet and banana pudding. Unreal!!

Stopped by on our way to Nashville and grabbed a frappe and a milkshake. The frappes are made with their ice cream and I will certainly stop by whenever in Cookeville.

Easy to find and easy to access. Nice selection of ice cream, not made in house. Also offers shakes, floats and smoothies. Nothing over the top. Coffee is available. Not a "coffee house" as one would expect. Nice treat for the kids on our visit....Visited on Saturday evening with family and friends.More

There was a line out the door, but we got our ice cream and took it across the street to sit on a bench. The pistachio was out of the world. It tasted fresh and very creamy and had lots of pistachios in it. What...a great treat!More

Best ice cream I’ve had in a long, long time. Tried the pralines and cream and chocolate fudge brownie. Everyone was satisfied and dying to go back. I’ve had LOTS of ice cream in many countries and this is easily in my top three.
