We ate at Stan's frequently before they closed for this renovation. The improvements only extend to the structure itself. We walked in to several tables that had not been bussed. The service was slow. The food was mediocre and the hostess had zero personality. They no longer serve french silk pie. The knives are not dinner knives; they're smaller butter... More

Don't like to write negative reviews but the only good thing about this was the chicken was good and the waitress was nice...but, you knew this was coming 😀, every time the waitress showed up she had to apologize for the delay. For $10.99 for chicken, I got a small thigh and a wing!! The potatoes (with no gravy) were... More

Working in the area and wanted to try the local place first. Looks like they just opened in their new building. It looks great! Portions were fairly large however service was slow. Maybe they will get it figured out soon! I'll certainly be back to avoid the big breakfast chains nearby.

On our way to Birmingham. Wanted a local place to eat but rather than look for a diner we saw this on I-65 so stopped. Pickles were good but a little salty. Hamburger with mushrooms was big but a little over cooked. I had roast beef sandwich and mashed potatoes which were not "real" as they thought. I do believe... More

We stopped in for a late breakfast on the way to INDY. Did not know what to expect. It was absolutely wonderful. Large portions and down home cooking. The server was new (she said she had been there a week) but she was super friendly and helpful. I have a food allergy and she made several trips to the kitchen... More

Positives - This place looks awesome, country lodge decor restaurant mated up to a convenience store. New, bright and welcoming. Negatives - Service was painfully slow, long wait for drink order, server was even slower to return to check on us and refill drinks. Our meals were brought to us incorrect, condiments were not to order. Menu makes no mention... More

They've only been open about 2 weeks since rebuilding. Stan's has been around since 1947. But they have a new building and it looks great. For years, I've been trying to find an excuse to stop there when traveling I-65 near Columbia. Tuesday, my main dish was a half skillet of kracklin' cornbread. I added some pinto beans, white beans,... More

We live nearby and wanted to try it out since it is completely new. It was awful, the service was poor but the vegetables tasted like right out of a can and the biscuit was a very hard and cold and either frozen or canned. To make it worse the vegetable plate that I tried was not only terrible, but... More
