A person at the Museum of Appalachia recommended Apple Blossom Cafe. It is hard to find if you are not used to the town but it was worth it. The food was good but the real treat was our server. I did not get her...name but I saw there was Chocolate Pie on the menu so I joked with her about it. She told me that they were out, so I ordered the Coconut Pie. She went to the back, came back, sat down next to me, put her arm around my shoulder to tell me they were out of that also. To be honest we were there late in the day. So we ordered the Chocolate Cake for dessert. Portions were good size and tasty.
Will recommend Apple Blossom Cafe if you are in Clinton, which is right next to the Museum of Appalachia which is worth the drive to that part of TN.More
We just moved to the area and were hoping for some really good home cooking. Unfortunately, the food is not up to par. Mostly frozen from a package and heated up with something on it/sauces or gravy. Even the mashed potatoes were from a box....Will not be back.More
I try to frequent locally owned family restaurants but I can't recommend this restaurant. The meatloaf was dry and tasteless and the mashed potatoes were institutional and not homemade. The fried apples were very good though. The people that work there were very nice but...I just can't justify going back there.More
Reminded today why we stopped going there. Terrible food. Pork tenderloin like eating two dry shoe soles. Chicken tenders hard, overcooked and dry. Vegies in tiny bowls. Rolls downsized. Don't know where they found such small rolls. Don't go there. The lunch was almost $30...for 2 including a tip and was definately not worth it.More
