I’ve never had a bad meal. Depending on what you get the food is already made when you get there. It’s a nice environment. The taste is unmatched. It’s a perfect lunch location.

We are in Caribbean heaven! The portions were more than satisfying. Being a Puerto Rican an a culinary aficionado, I can tell you that the cooking of this restaurant is not only genuine but above average as well. I had the white rice with a...side of red beans, the carne de cerdo guisada (pork tips cacerole) and the "salted codfish" cacerole. They were cooked to perfection, with the right amount of condiments, and with very little salt, to my surprise. I did not posted a picture as I really swallowed this delicious platter. My wife had the mofongo with the chicken cacerole. Same story. Really savory, the mofongo had a garlicky flavor, but not too strong nor salty. The environment is very informal and familiar, in no way this is "fine dining", just genuine Caribbean food for people who are hungry for good food in a nice place. They offer tropical juices and desserts as well.More

We stopped here on our way through town. Simple surroundings with delicious, flavorful food. We had the pork, ribs and beans and rice. So good! Friendly staff too.

If ordering mofongo, call ahead as it's made to order. All the food looked delicious and the entire team finished their plates! They make an in-house, homemade spicy sauce that's excellent! Inexpensive + delicious = Total Satisfaction!

Living in Kentucky, there are few options for Puerto Rican/Caribbean food. When we discovered Tropicana, we knew we had to go. We were not disappointed. We both had the pork and I had beans and rice and my husband had rice with pigeon peas. Everything...was wonderful. He especially enjoyed the passion fruit juice. Even though we were full, we split a piece of Tres Leches cake. Yum! We will definitely return.More

This place is phenomenal! I'd driven by it regularly since it opened thinking that it would be a typical Clarksville restaurant with the typical bad food and the typical people that are only there to get their daily job done for the day. I was...so wrong! From the first bite I was in love! The flavors reminded me of back home in Florida (I've been gone long enough to know how to vote) in the most wonderful way. The people ARE typical Caribbean, exceptionally clean, exceptionally nice, and definitely know how to cook!More

I am puerto rican stationed at ft. Campbell which is the middle of nowhere and sometimes i get homesick so this is the closest and the best thing to eat as a reminder of puerto rico and the dominican republic. Try it you will be...amazed!More

Tropicana has been open for a while now. In my honest opinion this is not our best representation of latino "puertorican or dominican" food. Quality is poor if you eat here once, you already tried all, everything taste the same no matter what you order...from the counter. But if you order "a la carta" please dont try pork or mofongo, you will be desapointed. Only reason they still alive is because they are the only ones. But they better be aware because there is some new and really good jamaican places in town, not the same but quite similar. Service is poor too. The lady at the front counter is not nice at all. Not to mention that she look like being force to be there.More

I've been a couple of times. Specifically when I don't feel like cooking. The place doesn't look like much, but the people are nice and their food and prices are good. I love their alcapurrias and rellenos de papa. It's not the greatest food but...it may be because their cooking is a tad different since it's Dominican and not Puerto Rican. But I still enjoy it and if you're looking for Caribbean food this is the place to go.More
