I visit family here and eat here every few months. I love the appearance of the building. It was a text tile manufacturer back in the 50-60s. You can still read the writing on the bricks inside. A historical location and if sitting upstairs, you have a picturesque view of the Tennessee river. The food is always from local farmers... More

The food was good for some, not good for others in our party of five. The crab cakes benedict were tasty and of a good size. The chicken on the chicken and waffle was overcooked and dried out but the waffle was pretty good with praline butter and maple syrup. The breakfast burrito was generously sized filled with good meat... More

I lived in Chattanooga for three years in the past and would eat at Food Works frequently. The brunch was quite good. With that being said this place must be under new management as the meal we had last evening was absolutely terrible. I ordered the Food Works Filet which was poorly cooked and the meat tasted spoiled. The broccolini... More

We were visiting family in Chattanooga and decided to go downtown to do some sight-seeing. We headed for Food Works after reading about it on TripAdvisor. It's located in an former knitting mill, so it has a cool vibe with old brick walls and high ceilings. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip appetizer, and it was delicious! For our lunch,... More

We just had one of our best meals. The short ribs and salmon were a favorite. Denis was amazing! A great server both attentive and funny!

We never are disappointed by Food Works in Chattanooga. Their Sunday brunch is a blend of Southern favorites with a twist. Service is wonderful / Ask to be seated with Amy if she's there! Outside seating / nice bar area and an easy walk over the Tennessee River bridge.

We were on a weekend trip and happened upon this jewel! Everything was great and we will be planning another trip to dine again.

As we finished walking around the antique shops next door we discovered an restaurant at the end. It was a Sunday so we waited for a seat for about 10 minutes for brunch. When we were seated we were noticing all the plates going by and how great they looked. The menu sounded awesome. We ordered mimosas (over 1/2 of... More

We had eaten here years ago, and wanted to return. We were not disappointed. The chicken piccata was excellent, accompanied by Yukon Gold mashed potatoes, and the vegetable of the day, which was green beans. My son substituted grilled asparagus for the green beans, which was delicious as well. Hubby opted for the BLFGT, which is blackened fried green tomatos,... More

I'll start with the good: Our server was nice. Everything seemed clean. Unfortunately, that's not enough to carry a restaurant. You, know, those places where you go to eat a hopefully good meal? I hoped at first that I'd made a bad menu choice - it happens. But almost no one in our fairly large party enjoyed their meal. Potatoes... More
