Really enjoyed the funky atmosphere and great breakfast food. Would go again in spite of having to wade through clouds of smoke before entering the building. Enjoyed waffles, bacon, and coffee as well as the decorations.

We weren't disappointed at all with the food and especially the unusually huge pancakes! (Our table also ordered omelets, potatoes and biscuits which was good) Priced really reasonably too. Wow though..we've eat out all of the time, in all kinds of places, from hole in the walls to the finest of dining but rarely encountered such off handed, unfriendly, "I... More

We visited Aretha Frankensteins on a Wednesday morning. The restaurant was not busy, nor did we wait for a table. Atmosphere is very unique, dont be suprised of they are blasting heavy metal from the kitchen. Despite being incredibly unique, the food was phenomenal. The breakfast potatoes are the best I have eaten, and the Belgian waffle was like desert.... More

Aretha Frankensteins has the honor of receiving my first one star review. I can usually find something good to say about the many places I have visited, but not this time. This place was recommended by a local, and it's likely that only the locals are willing to accept the long wait and rude behavior of the wait staff. We... More

We were in Chattanooga for the night so I googled "best breakfast in Chattanooga". This restaurant appeared on the three lists that I viewed so it's where we headed at 8:30 on a Sunday morning. We had a short wait (15 minutes) and sat at the bar. Keep in mind that I appreciate unique and this place was it! Everything... More

Food is delicious and made to order. Be prepared to wait for it but also to really enjoy it when it's served. Would like to have had the outdoor coffee bar better stocked for the long wait but that is most important when it's cold. Plus there's always beer! Little place inside with cool setting. Summertime offers more space on... More

You should only eat here expecting good food- DO NOT EXPECT GOOD SERVICE. Their pancakes and waffle of insane greatness are amazing. There is very limited seating (no more than 6 tables) inside. So, you will probably be on a wait. If they have the outside patio open, then there are a few more tables.

My visit to Aretha Frankenstein's was great and I will definitely return next visit. I ordered the slim stack with blueberries and a fried egg on the side. The pancakes had a great texture and are very flavor-able. The decor of this place is a great mix of historical monster lore. The style along with the great food makes this... More

If you want something uniquely different then you need to visit this place . My friends who live here insisted I try this place and said I had to order the pancakes which apparently this place is known for. My buddy said its the place for pancakes and beer. While I dont advocate drinking beer for breakfast I do however... More

Small venue (come early or expect to wait!) with amazing food (their pancakes are so legendary the batter is sold in local supermarkets and used by a local restaurant for their onion rings) and even more amazing atmosphere. Only place I know in town you can have a Guinness & espresso (or other libations) with your eggs for breakfast! Great... More
