The food was good and location is great. There's a huge field outside where the kids got to run around. I did think that for what it was, it was a bit too expensive. Kids meals were around $7.

Inside or outside this is a relaxed way to have a meal with many fun and special features. The Shrimp N Grits were amazing. We enjoyed a table outside facing the park and water and it was so peaceful and nice!

We enjoyed our meal at The Blue Plate for the most part. The homemade chips w/ lots of toppings was an excellent choice for an appetizer. Fried chicken was just good, not a wow. Same with mashed potatoes. They were served lukewarm as if they had lingered a bit under the warming lights. Atmosphere was lively and we loved the... More

We went in because I thought it would be the same as the Blue Plate in Huntsville which is excellent. We got there and the menu is pretty limited. I got an omlette and it was so bad I sent it back. She said that they could bring pancakes, so I said cool. We waited and waited long enough for... More

We were here with our three teenage boys. Two of us had the burger which was terrific and really cheesy. One had the fried chicken sandwich, one had chicken kids meal with mac n cheese side and I had the grilled cheese. The grilled cheese had mac n cheese and BBQ in it and it was yummy. I would say... We tried the Blue Plate again for breakfast and had some delicious food. The French toast and pancakes are thick and come with plenty of butter, and for an added charge, you can get real maple syrup (otherwise, they serve Log Cabin). The added charge is quite the thing at the Blue Plate. I had the bacon and cheese omelet... More

Went for lunch. One block from IMAX/aquarium. River views. Excellent service, friendly staff and delicious food. Wish I live down nearby, I'd go on a regular basis.

Someone at the Aquarium recommended Blue Plate to us for lunch as a place for burgers. She must not have noticed that we had a 5, 7 and 9 year old with us. The only burger on the menu was a double cheeseburger. The 5-year-old got a cheeseburger on bread but the burger was missing! My salad was warm and... More

Pretty good place to have lunch but they don't have a specific lunch menu. Nice surroundings by the river. Server was great!! Servings of food not that big from what I saw you don't get sides unless you pay for them or order a large dinner meal.

When we first went in the hostess said it was a 45 minute wait but we could be seated now if we wanted a high top table. That was fine with us so she directed us through a door behind her station. The only problem was it was a different establishment. The waiter said they shared the same kitchen and... More
