We’re visiting Chattanooga this weekend and woke up late for breakfast at the hotel so I decided to get Father’s Day breakfast for my friend at The Blue Plate. It was really bad. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.
Close to river walk, aquarium, shuttle bus. Nice view of river inside or outside. Clean and modern. Reasonably priced. Good selection of entrees and sides. Nice waiters. I had fried chicken strips which were crispy and plump white meat with dipping sauces. Very satisfying.
My daughter and I had the chef salad and it was delicious!
It was the first time I had ever had a salad served already mixed, including the dressing (it's usually served on the side). My family also had chicken pancakes. While it wasn't the...More
My husband and I went to grab a quick bite. I ordered the Rosemary Chicken. I do like the fact that they use local sources for their menu items. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The good was average. Great location if you're downtown.
My wife & I stopped at Blue Plate for breakfast based on a recommendation by the Marriott Courtyard front desk. It's about a block from the hotel. We had an excellent breakfast & sat outside. I had the BK Platter ($11). It came with 2...More
Very slow service. Food is ok. Everything is a la cart, with the price of a small chicken sandwich being over $9 (75 cents extra to add hot sauce lol) . I guess the prices reflect the location right across from the Aquarium. We didn't...More
We decided to have drinks here because it had outside seating with a view of the river. The staff were very pleasant and the drinks reasonably priced. Very nice indeed to the extent that we called back the next evening for a repeat.
The Blue Plate occupies the ground floor of mixed use building across the street from the Aquarium and overlooking the river. The bar and restaurant offer separate spaces. We went for an early breakfast and sat in one of their stylish banquettes. My Pancake Plate...More

Parking is not valet. There is some free street parking beside the restaurant and if this is not available there is plenty of space in a nearby parking garage. Easy parking is not an issue and very convenient for a visit to the Blue Plate. My recollection is that the outside seating is not covered but shade is provided by parasols. When we were there other people had their dogs with them at the outside tables. It did not seem to be a problem and their is a large grassy area in front of the outside seating where people were playing with their pets. Hope this helps.
