We were running out of options on Thanksgiving day for a place to eat. We stumbled upon this and we are glad we did. The service was good and the food was very good. Philly cheesesteak and Reuben sandwiches are two suggestions. Please try this...place if you get the chance.More

This was a different experience than their original City Cafe diner downtown, and not nearly as fun, and the food has a long way to go before it meets their standard. Their kitchen staff doesn't know how to make eggs benedict or the potato side....The eggs were totally runny and slight undercooked and the presentation was sloppy. The side of home fries described as seasoned with "green peppers, onions and tomatoes" potatoes was bland NO "green pepper, onions and tomatoes" in sight. The plate was cold and the food was hardly warm. Quietly, I sent it back, asking for a "zap in the microwave" to at least heat the food, but here came the manager to argued that eggs benedict were supposed to be runny. I love eggs benedict and know how they are supposed to be cooked...soft yolk but not totally runny. It was a disappointing, and what aggravated me the most was the manager coming to my table with an argument. I had not asked for a manager and by coming to the table, he escalated the issue. It was an important meal for us because we had a long road trip in front of us.More

Cake is the reason to go here. Do not leave Chattanooga until you've gotten a big ol slice of cake from here. HIGHLY recommend the sampler, literally thought about that piece of cake for 3 years. Tried the seven sins this time, love the blend...of chocolate.More

This place was pointed out to my wife and I on our Chattanooga Segway tour. I would have never noticed it tucked behind trees and attached to the end of a Days In.. Let me tell you, this place is great! plates of food are...enormous and a great value. Service is top notch, and the cakes...oh the cakes. I literally ate on one piece of New York Blackout Cake for three days. We ate here twice; once for lunch and once for breakfast. We also took home some Baklava and it was also a healthy potion and very very tasty! Give this place a try and you will not be disappointed!More

Great food and even better service. Shoutout to Roy and Garrett, they were fantastic!! Roy was a very efficient manager and clearly knew how to run the restaurant. Garrett was one of the most personable waiters we’ve had! Loved the huge slices of cake as...well!More

Cat is the absolute best server there. She cares about the service you receive and is very accommodating to your requests. She really took the extra time to make sure my food was 100% perfect. We will always come back to see Cat at City...Cafe.More

We stopped in to get some cheesecake and were overwhelmed with the selection of cakes and other treats on display! The portions were huge and the prices so reasonable. Best of all, they are open 24 hours, so we were able to stop while on...our horse and carriage ride!More

Must be some confusion. City Cafe diner is a great diner. However, we stayed about a block away at the Marriott Downtown and they have both an indoor and outdoor pool. A wonderful hotel!
