This bar has the rudest staff I have ever encountered. No customer service at all. It’s almost like they didn’t want any business.

I went to eat there Sat afternoon and sat outside. I am a local. I ordered the turkey reuben. I said I wanted the dressing for it on the side. It was covered in dressing and had a side of it as well. It did...not come with a pickle nor even a side...no side at all...no chips or even a small side! I ordered a salad with it. Thank God or it would not have worked at all...Not only that, it was like a grilled cheese sandwich...bread covered in oil! I should have sent it back...I am mad at myself for not doing so! I also noticed they had the outside door locked to the outdoor seating areas, so u couldnt go in or out that way. It wasnt locked about a month ago. I understand that though, I guess.More
Only downside to HOTD is you must be 21, which has its ups and downs. You're guaranteed not to have to deal with someones 2 year old crying :) But I really wish I could take my 18 year old son!! They have pool tables...and darks and the food is good, beer is cheap!More
I wanted to like this place. The front door crew were funny and cool. But the minute we walked in, I knew I made a mistake. It was packed during COVID-19 and nothing looked clean (let alone sanitized). The waitress had absolutely no time for...us - she actually was sitting and chatting at another booth with a friend nearly the entire time we were there. Another waitress actually stopped to get beers for us since she noticed we were being ignored. It was awkward for all of us. Long story short, we left soon after. I’ll say that this seems to be favored by regulars. I can’t see why anyone else would come unless they actually got service. I agree that a local dump is kind of fun occasionally but I couldn’t enjoy myself here. Oh, and there are huge cockroaches everywhere. And they get on to you physically in your chair. Added bonus.More
My wife and I stopped by the Pub on the night of Fat Tuesday while we were visiting. Nothing special, just a run downed pub with mediocre service.
Jessica made our visit a joy and the food was excellent with decent portions. Great options with drinks, especially beer and cocktails
My wife and I stopped by during the early afternoon for a pint. As soon as we stepped inside I was surprised at how run down the place looked. We sat at a mini booth against the wall directly in front of the bar. The...seats had holes torn in them and appeared thoroughly worn out. The whole bar smelled. Like it had not been cleaned from the night before. So we decided to get an appetizer and a couple of beer. The fried cheese squares were really good...Fried to perfection. I doubt we would go back unless everything else in the area was closed and we had no other options. Their sign out front was hilarious and is what reeled us in to give it a go.More
Enjoyed my visit. Cool pub atmosphere. Good fish and chips. Nice selection of beer. Great service. One of my top 5 places in Chattanooga
Very pleasant pub experience, not a tourist place despite its location. Great selection of imported, craft, and local brews. Fish and chips pretty authentic.
We happened to come to Chattanooga on the weekend of a major water main breaking. Many restaurants in city center or riverside were closed or operating partially. This pub is dog friendly with plenty of outdoor seating. Our waitress brought a water dog bowl to...our table. The spinach dip was good, and the fish and chips were outstanding. They have a very good and cold craft beer selection. We will be back in the future. If you travel with your dog, don't miss this pub.More
